I have met blind a couple of times in the sense that the photos I saw of said people were utter and complete :bs: it was not them at all.
Therefore I did meet for coffee, etc, but no more.
I would not meet blind simply due to the fact that I have no time. I had much more last year :thrilled: and the anticipation may be fun to an extent, but my priorities have changed and I prefer to meet people who a) I have seen a photo or webcam of and b) I have chatted and built some kind of rapport online.
There was someone on here who kept insisting that I went to my local Starbucks and sat there on a Wednesday from 10am to and he would walk in with his red diary and making phone calls - I could then decide if I was attracted to him and approach him or if I wasn't just do nothing. He kept going on and on about the privacy/discretion issue and that he couldn't provide a photo/webcam image due to this. If I had the time and the inclination it may have been fun, but er... no.

Lower limit 30, upper 40... I have experimented quite a bit with either extremes of both limits and I have to say that these are the ages I am most comfortable with. But nothing's set in stone and in many cases age is really just a number.

Here we have the contraction of the words "you" and "are", which get to "you're" not "your"

But in no way, shape or form does this mean that if I chat to someone, I will shag him/her/them. That is my prerogative. With me what you see is what you get. I had a very thorough profile on another site which stated exactly who I was and what I was looking for (made a similar effort here but just got ridiculed, so I just though feck it). And I have been quite lucky as most of the people I have met have been exactly what I thought - apart from someone who told me he was in his 30s and turned out to be in his 50s. Now, I have no problem with age, but pretending to be 20+ years younger... I should put on my profile that I am 16 then. :thrilled:
So yes, I am a timewaster in the way that I won't meet... been told that by someone on this site - he said it was not worth chatting if we weren't going to fuck -hey, fair enough, that is his prerogative as well... what he doesn't know is that I wouldn't fuck him even if I was meeting people, because I didn't really fancy him. I am pretty much the same. I tend to be a bit shy/offstandish IRL, like Amberx said, but apart from that I am the same. I have been told I am quite playful and giggly IRL. hehe.

All this kind of scene can be very much a playground scenario sometimes. When I said that these people invite people around me it is, literally, like that. In front of me. If I were to invite someone in any aspect, socially, a swingers party, whatever and I do not want a specific person there, I am not going to be as childish as to go and invite everyone else around him/her and just ignore her, but hey, that is just me. Maybe I am the odd one out? ;)
Then you get the "are you going to X party?" "oh, you're not? I would have sworn that you would have been invited ... no worries hon, there are many other parties along the way" hahahaha, it kind of reminds me of the "jelly bean" compliments that Alan mentioned in another thread.
Hurtful? not at all. I think that in this scene there is no space for being hurt. At least not for me. That comes with experience. ;) I just find it childish.
However, the fact of establishing certain criteria for inviting people to one's party I still find valid. As I said, to each their own. :D
