Fair points Stig, as someone who enjoys the forums and loves contributing to the posts that catch my interest........ not as a mod, can I just say I am sooooooo tired of the negativity. I am in no way detracting from any negative experience that any other member has had nor am I invalidating any dispute. But enough is enough as far as I am concerned.
Ill feeling is contagious and effects the greater demographic eventually, not just those integral to the issue. I can honestly say that the general malcontent has left me with no interest in even reading the forums the last few days. My personal opinion is that the new wave of 'bright and breezey' threads have been posted to counter-act this.
Can we move forward, can we accept that any grievances were at least heard if not resolved and take on board that there is a governing body (Admin) available to EVERYONE when it is felt that resolution is not being reached at ground level.
Now I am off to read the happy threads, dying to see what Kitty comes up with next!!!!!!
Positivity, positivity and positivity. The more you embrace it the more you attract, which can only benefit you and yours!
:upset::doh::cry: Without doubt I'm gonna be missing a fantastic night, have a ball guys! XXX
Was told that I look like Carla on Coronation Street and Dream Team. I don't think that resemblance is too close in honesty but I get asked a lot if I'm Polish. I just look like me! :scared:
lol KK i editted my text before I saw your response. Absolutely no offence can be taken from your post because it was coherent and logical. As I said, it's a good post to open a valid discussion. I'm sure that some relevant points will be raised but remember if it dissolves into a baser argument nothing constructive can come of it and those who would wish to be involved in this discussion will just tune out.
Usually I find threads are locked at the OP's request when it degenerates into an unpleasant mess, I know this was the case on one I locked earlier this week. I know this is not the one you are referring to as there was no reference to mods. All I can say is that if you feel a thread has unjustifiably been locked go to the mod who locked it and ask. My own personal instinct is that I need to act as a mod and either mediate on a thread or even lock it if I feel that one particular person is being discussed. I completely agree that the forums are a fantastic media for open discussion and censorship is not an activity indulged in here. However, like an iceberg, what is openly visible is simply the tip of the issue.
KK without seeming defensive I agree it might seem that when a mod is attacked we all close ranks but hun I assure you we take a lot of flack in silence. We are often unable to respond in the way we would if we returned to our regular member state, sometimes the instinct is to go 'yeah but hang on what about when you.....' 'yeah but such and such did this......' but we can't. I'm not strumming the sympathy violin here but the other mods have my support, they do not deserve some of what they endure and for god's sake if there is a problem with any mod bring it to admin directly. It's an adult site, if you have a valid complaint and can provide examples this will be dealt with. Do not make random, vague statements. Have the courage to direct your issue to the person in question or leave it to Admin to direct it.I'm not being argumentative with you KK, you know I loves ya hun, but your post has provided an avenue for discussion.
Hi Thed, good luck with your new year resolution!
:giggle:
Well I know my cream egg was a famous one, gifted to me by a couple who had strategically and anatomically inserted it...... don't know why everyone else got theirs....... Unfortunately I sold the car I had stowed it in with the egg still in situ, I sincerely hope the new owner did not eat it in a normal fashion. That's not what it was intended for!
My first meet 'n' greet was fantastic. Great venue, great music, great people. It was held over a weekend and it took me about 4 days to recover. It was a whirlwind of laughs, giggles, introductions and flirting.
All I can say is it's like being in the best nightclub ever, where everyone mingles, everyone's happy and there's no drama. Go and enjoy, but remember they are addictive!
Happy birthday AA, please tell me you're gonna indulge in some birthday cake on your special day.......... You can be good again tomorrow!
The people organising the party will be best at advising on what to bring, wear etc. My own experience is that you dress as for a night out, with the sexy stuff to change into later. Don't worry about making an impression or mixing well, it usually starts just like a social gathering and everyone is so happy to be there and welcoming that you might even forget for a while what you are there for.. as I said a quick mail to the organisers will soon answer all your questions.
I agree Amber, the travel is WELLLLLLL worth the bother!
Happy birthday, hope you enjoy and get spoilt rotten. XXX
