I think the original thread subject has been covered with a slight detour thrown in which gives an insight to the ups and downs of the role.
In summary I'd like to say that its a new mod team, nobody is perfect eevn us admins, but from our end we aim to do what is right at the time and ensure that the mods in place act responsibly, sometimes a nudge is needed and sometimes it isn't, but I do think mods past and present have done well so far.
On that note I'm bringing out the padlock.

So far as me being immature and posting bollox, I'm just following your lead. As I said we don't make these up, thats not to say that things don't go wrong and maybe something has.
Now I have checked and that name doesn't appear in the current list of those that have recently viewed your profile.

Well I don't know where you got that from, I just checked in the database and everyone down as viewing your profile is showing as either being online or has been online within the last 12 hours or so.
We are talking about those shown on 'My Homepage' here.
What you are saying, appears to infer that we make these up, which is total bollox.

As things stand, if we simply remove the account, they could just come back with the same username or another, but we would have no record of their previous details, email, IP Address etc
So we make sure that the account can't be accessed by them, whilst the site is being rebuilt, after the relaunch there will be a notice on banned accounts saying that they are banned, if we can we will roll in those previously banned as well.

I've been away from the weekend and my main focus now is catching up on mail and getting the site re-launched.
As you choose to post stuff like this in a public thread I'll give you my initial thoughts based upon what you have written above, if you expect to get a seriuous answer don't start of a complaint by name calling one of the site moderators, its offensive and at best could lead to replies in the same manner.
If you have a complaint to make, either pm myself or use the site contact feature, whilst you may not get an instant response it will be reviewed.
Starting a whinge thread in the forum is pointless, as only admins have access to the site logs and would be in a position to make any assessment based upon the facts and not idle speculation.

The right click java script won't stop most people, also when we tried it in the past there were some browser compatibility issues.
The best way is to never upload a photo on any site that can be viewed by the public that you wouldn't want every man and his dog to see.
The the ability to have a private gallery will help, but even with that you need to be careful who gets to see them.
The watermarking will help a lot to stop other people using your photo's elsewhere and if they do turn up on another site makes it easier to have them taken down.
Now I've read some posts in other threads about people spotting fake pics on profiles, some having watermakrks from other sites on them, if anyone comes across any please drop me a pm with the persons username and we will ban them and remove the photo's.
Also as part of the site relaunch we will be reviewing every photo on this site and classifying them;

When the site is re-launched whenever people aren't logged in they won't be able view anything that we classify as not suitable for minors, this is to protect minors from seeing adult images.
There's about 11,500 photos on the site so were going to be busy.
After the review all remaining images will be watermarked.
After that before any photo appears on the site it will need to be reviewed, so depending on how busy the site admin/moderators are there may be a slight delay but its neccesary and protects everyone involved here, I've came across a few unsavoury photo's in my time that really don't belong here and it will help to sort out the genuine from the fakers.

When one of the admin team is in chat we always show up like anyone else, you seem to think that we can visit private rooms without your knowledge, this is a false assumption on your part.
There may be occasions when we would visit a private room, for example if we suspect that something illegal is going on, although this is rare and if asked I very much doubt that you would find a member here that has ever had a visit from one of the admin team when they're in a private room.
Now, chat logs, everything is recorded, we don't read them unless we have to, there's far more important things to be getting on with, but they are necessary, say a private room was opened and it turned out that one of the members was offering sex for money, pushing another website, doing something illegal or even being abusive?
A complaint or report would most likely come our way and we would review the logs prior to taking action.
One thing you need to accept, is that whilst your privacy is important, the rules of the site need to be followed even in private rooms.

I can confirm that what Westside says is correct, moderators can not read whispers or change profiles, there will be options for them to edit certain things when the new version of the site is launched.
Site admins can change pretty much anything with regard to members profiles, we can also review the chat logs to check whsipers in the event of a complaint or dispute.

Its the default county during the sign up process, so when they signed up they didn't select their county correctly from the menu. At the moment members can't change their location, they will be able to do this when the new version of the site is available, in the meantime we have been updating them when ever someone contacts us, so if your location needs changing drop a pm to myself or via the contact us option with the details.

There is a validation system coming with the rebuild and this will also enable others to leave comments on people, like all things its not foolproof as people don't always tell the truth, but it should help.
Another thing that would help is if people uploaded a photo, holding a peice of paper with their username written on it, we couldn't and wouldn't make it mandatory, but it would help those that did to proove that they are what they claim to be, its not fool proof as there's bound to be some that would edit photo's, but who said life was perfect.
One thing worth mentioning, even if you do that, if you don't want your freinds and family to know you are members, edit the photo to blank out your face.
If your uncertain about a meet, insist on a phone cal or open a private room in chat and both parties go on cam, it could save a lot of time if you have the misfortune to come across one of the wind up merchants.

1. enter a chatroom
2. put mouse arrow in left hand vid window
3. control-click and choose 'settings' from menu
4. In the dialog box that comes up, click the 'allow' radio button and tick the 'save' checkbox
5. On the row of icons at the bottom of the dialog box, choose the right hand cam icon
6. from the drop down menu, choose 'USB class video' then click the close button
7. it should now work!

If someone gets whispered without permission, posting it in chat is very often the best way to bring that to the attention of the modeartors, if the whisperer carries on after being warned then they risk getting kicked or banned.
If someone posts a whisper as a joke, to cause unrest or with the intention to get someone else kicked it needs reporting to me so that I can check the logs.
Its not funny and goes against the whole ethos of the site, those doing it could ultimately end up being removed from the site for life.
