We have been reviewing all that has gone on here, all I'd have to say is that when threads are locked there is always a good reason.
Not all of the reasons are going to be spealt out in open as very often there have been a lot of things going on in the background that would not be apparent to anyone reading the thread, confidentiality and common sense will always rule and it would not be appropriate to post all of the facts.
So whilst something may appear to be black and white on first reading you are not getting the whole story and only knowing half of the truth makes it pretty tricky to make an informed opinion.
On occasion, some people may attempt to manipulate what has been said in public for their own agender, which 9 times out of 10 is a personal dispute or an attempt to get their own back.
You would need to know all of the facts to know what is really going on, which doesn't make it easy with so many things going on here.
Both the admin team and the mod team will always act in what we believe to be the best interest of the site, every complaint submitted via the ticket system is investigated and dealt with.
Neither the admin team or the mod team enjoy locking threads, scare mongering and unsubstantiated allegations are not acceptable, if anyone has a problem please put a ticket in with all of the supporting facts and it will be dealt with.
I've left this thread unlocked, I have no objection to people posting objections to threads being locked as there has never been a policy of preventing freedom of speech, just don't try to dress it up as something else, if you have a proper issue with anyone here, put in a support ticket with facts to back it up.
If you have a greivance or an axe to grind with another member go do it elsewhere, this is meant to be a fun place.
Well in summary, everybody has to follow the rules of the site, whilst some may not like them they are in fact here for the good of all.
If anyone belives that they have been treated unfairly please submit a support ticket and we will investigate, we are not in the business of allowing bullying from anyone, but as I said earlier, there is nothing new in this thread to follow up on, maybe a few grudges held.
If we had a moderator exhibiting bullying tendancies they would be outed by the rest of the mod team or by us, the fact that those on the moderation team that are still here illustrates that point, rotten apples get discovered and are outed.
I see more bullying and stiring from some of the members if I'm honest, stop posting bollox.
Tell me Siva, whats your motive for being here, is it to enjoy the site or to promote another site.
We make the rules here and everyone that joins the site has to abide by them.
I would say that % of the complaints about moderation are down to the person being moderated objeting to having to follow the rules.
We do indeed follow up every complaint and whilst the moderators will not always get it right 100% of the time they are in my opinion very objective and fair, so if anyone has anything of substance to complain about, complain and we will look at it, but I see nothing of substance to investigate in this thread.
and its back, sorry about the time out.
Its all bollox really, someone sees it and then puts it on their profile. The site has a copyright thing on it if anyone copies anything from the site its beached, this would not stop some spammers or content scrapers as they take little notice, the warning would have no greater effect or indeed offer any additional protection.
This is the Internet and as such is pretty easily found the best thing to do is be careful what you write if you do not wish it to be seen or known.
As for that warning bollox, you don't need it.
Well my grandson built a snowmane outside his house, someone destroyed it and left the head on their doorstep, there's some sad feckers out there :fury:
There's nothing up with telling them that they've been reported or are acting in an unacceptable way, if they've been advised and cary on then they can't plead ignorance, although I'm pretty sure that many are well aware that its no more acceptable to act in this way here than it is in real life, its those that use the opportunity to make things worse that we have an issue with.
Its no secret that we regularly ban people for acting in this way, we have a incremental ban levels depending on the situation, some get longer than others, its all depends on what has happened.
Unfortunately no matter what we do there will always be the odd person turning up that is hell bent on causing trouble, all we can do is remove them when they show, I'd also like to say that the mods here do a great job keeping things in line when they are able to and much of this work is often carried out without anyone noticing.
Everybody needs to follow the rules and if someone has been reported then they will be punished as we will not tolerate this sort of behavior, foruntaely we have logs so if its not picked up at the time then it can be addressed when the support ticket is picked up.
I take it that the thread starter put in a ticket, I have no way of knowing if the situation has already been sorted out if one of the other admins has picked it up.
Someone above mentioned vigilante type action, this would not in my opinion be a good way to go and the most likely consequence would be an inflamed situation with more people being banned as a result.
I go every three months, thus my teeth in tip top form and have not had to have any work done in 10+ years.
Prevention better than cure me thinks .....

I'm locking this thread as its turned into a bitch fest.
Its the Internet Tommy and there are those that will use screen captures, what appears on a monitor can be copied, this is nothing new and applies to anything anywhere on the Internet including other sites.
There is always this risk so here as in real life you need to be aware of the consequences of what you do.
I've read the logs and for anyone else reading you would either need to have been in the room or to have read the logs in order to draw any conclusions.
In my opinion there was no attack and sherri was polite in her initial comment to you.
We have no problem with freedom of speech here provided that no rules are broken.
Now I'm not about to discuss what was said and talk about who over reacted, or even use extracts from the conversation to make a point on a public forum, although in starting the thread you have invited that from sheri, but you are free to pm me if you to discuss further.
I'm not actually biased as you state above and do not have any pre-conceived opinions or judgements, I look at every complaint or report for what it is, after looking at the logs I don't see what all the fuss is about.
If any member on this site was bullied or intimidated by another member we would take action as for one thing its against our rules (as I keep saying) and to be quite honest not good for the site.
You may think you are in the right but you are not.
We have rules that need to be followed and everyone has to agree to these rules before they use the site, its part of the join up process.
It is not acceptable for people to act in an offensive way and that does apply to how people speak to the moderators, you should bear that in mind before using the chatroom again.
Moderators apply the rules and that isn't always easy, some people believe that the rules do not apply to them and that is usually when these issues are raised.
The admin team deals with any issues related to moderators together with anything else that a member here may wish to raise and we have a support ticket system in place for that purpose.
This is by no means a self regulation, so in answer to the original question of who watches the watchers the answer would be we do.
Good point, I'll have one added to the home page.
If anyone is going there we have an Aussie site, so feel free to use it, also if you have any mates out there please let them know, the site is called swingersheaven.com.au
We are following whats going on, this particular change was put in place after members reported that very often chat was unusable for them when the numbers got high.
With time we may be able to find a better way to do it and we do have people working on it.
There's a few other changes in progress across the site and we keep adding to the list, approving favorites came up in a thread the other day and is on there, so don't ever think that we just railroad things out, there's usually a good reason.
I agree that an awareness of STI's and the potential implications are important.
thread tidied up .avalon.
It should be 24 hours before people get logged out from the main site now.
