I was in the Bi-room last night, got an unsolicited whisper, when I whispered back with the news Site AUP rules :** WHISPERING ** - if you want to whisper you must ask first in open chat, if you whisper without asking you will be considered a pest. I was then called a "WUSS" in open chat..... I let it go. Do people ever read the rules?

There needs to be a safety net for that.
I got a whisper this morning " So how big are you?" out of pure frustration I pasted the whisper back into the main chat..... the poor guy whispered back, "apologies, was not meant for you" fair play to him.
Whispering is a curse...... But a great tool on the site if not abused.

I personally have kept rather silent on this whole whisper thing, but I feel I can't remain silent any longer as I got kicked last week for sending a whisper to the wrong person, even though I apologised.
Whispers if used correctly can be very good, and I also realise that they can be abused too.
However, it is becoming very annoying in chat when you see people complaining about people whispering, when there is a tool to turn them off. If people are annoyed by whispers, turn them off and move on.
Recently there was a couple on cam and every now and then they would ask the room "do ye like this, or do ye like that". What happened? You guessed, people whispered, and then these for been copied and pasted getting people kicked. If a whisper is abusive, certainly then action needs to be taken, but there are times when we can take this too far.
Finally, I do take great issue with the wording of the new warning about whispers. No one should ever be refered to as a Pest. Last time I checked, people do pay money to join this site, and therefore, should all be treated with the same respect that we all want. We are supposed to be all adults, and not school children, and from one who was bullied in school and called a Pest by some, I find the use of this term offensive.
To close here, I am NOT condoning bad behaviour, yet I am asking that people consider turning off whispers if they are going to annoy them.
the whisper issue warning is in place, can fully understand that mistakes happen and and doubt very much any mod would take action when genuine mistakes happen. (we all fook up at times, its called being human).
unfortunately we have a resident amount of persistent 'pests' and yes thats exactly what they are, they neither have manners or balls to try and involve themselves in chat and just continuously pester chatters in whispers and private messages, there is enough genuine people involved on this site in this day and age, and the mods, (at the detriment of many) are trying very hard and sacrificing their personal time to make the site better for the genuine users, and in doing so putting their personal pleasures in the background.
now although a lot of people may use the site for a 'quick fix' or for their own pleasures only, can only say if they continue to pester the scene participants, then they won't be staying on here. things take time and a lot of effort, site may end up with 100 genuine users but if thats what the genuine people want, thats what they'll end up with........... its a swing site after all, if you want to bullshit, tell lies or mislead people, you are in the wrong place and on the wrong site, you will be found out and your profile will be deactivated, its now a pay site, if you want to waste money and other peoples time, pls contact the finance minister, am pretty sure the government could do with money thats been wasted for no apparent reason ;)

I admire both the Mod's and ADMIN Team for addressing the entire Whispering issue, I am sure you are all constantly chasing and kicking people for unsolicited whispers.
I think if more emphasis was placed, as Dar4 said on the "Disable/Enable Whisper Function" that is not heavily promoted on here, that may in-turn lead to a reduction.
Like many as Bailey's said we have all done them, most not intentional, in my view the repeat offenders should be banned, the length of that ban be determined by the MOD/ADMIN Team.
My own thoughts and the wording would be:
Unsolicited whispers are not only frowned upon but are a breach of the sites AUP rules to which you agreed to. Repeat offenders will face a ban, the length of that ban is at the discretion of the MOD/ADMIN Team and is not questionable.

there is lots of people going on a but whispering and we r doing a few things about it but its also down to the members to Reportthe whispers to a mod or send in a Abuse Reportthe thing we have to look out for is people making up whispers to get some one banned from the site but that is were the chat logs come in ... So we need every 1 to do there bit its not just down to the mods ....

I would like to say, I do understand that people will make mistakes when using the whisper function – but in honesty from my personal experience – I have been inundated with whispers – and the majority of them were not by accident – but deliberate – and most definitely when all put together – I do consider them to be irritating pests – I do my best to ignore them – but after a while – well quite frankly they get on my tits – and not in a good way.
