Do I smell fighting in the air? Is this hypothetical or real life here? But have to say Dora, this is a very valid question that you have raised. Good on you.
If you have any issue with a Mod or any other in a chatroom you can email admin with the date, time and location and they will look into the situation and after it. The date and time helps them as they can check back to see what occured. The Mods have rules and regulations to follow like everyone else has, and are there to help with the general flow and running of the site, but admin has the final say on all matters. Regards. Sean
Good question Dora. We had this happen to us a long time ago where a mod took a dislike to my wife getting a lot of attention on cam and when we e-mailed admin about it, WE got banned lol. Admittedly we were in the wrong for our part, because it upset us how the mod treated us, but nothing was done to the mod at the time when the logs that were e-mailed to us clearly showed the mod instigating the trouble.
Is that mod still a mod on here? Im not looking for names here just wondering if theyre still on here as a mod thats all.
end of the day the mods here are paid users like everyone else , and just like folks have their personalities, likes and dislikes ...so do the mods , moderating is an UNPAID job and mods give their time and effort to ensure everyone has an enjoyable bit of craic here .If you have an issue visit the support centre where admin will adress you , but a quick reminder here, the owner of this site is merely that , an owner it is the combined efforts of the moderating team here which keep this site ticking over and enjoyable for all.
I dont normally trawl through the forums unless I am looking for MnGs but I found this post and I felt I had to comment on it. After befriending moderators both past and present, I believe that they actually do not pay for the privilege of being here. Mods are here unpaid however they have nominated themselves for this role and know exactly what they are getting into. I do not believe that they should be above the law. I believe they should be following the AUP and chatroom rules like standard users. They do not have the right to abuse their position and follow members around in a bullying and abusive manner. I myself have been at the brunt of this behaviour and am dealing with admin on this. However it seems to be the same old story of admin reserve the right to change the rules to suit themselves. It appears that there is alot of nepotism going on within the moderation circle and perhaps its time for a change. Paying users should have a right to say how the site is run and even vote on future moderators.
We make the rules here and everyone that joins the site has to abide by them. I would say that % of the complaints about moderation are down to the person being moderated objeting to having to follow the rules. We do indeed follow up every complaint and whilst the moderators will not always get it right 100% of the time they are in my opinion very objective and fair, so if anyone has anything of substance to complain about, complain and we will look at it, but I see nothing of substance to investigate in this thread.
I think that social networking sites and bullying is a huge issue at the moment, an issue not to be taken lightly or ignored and always worthy of further investigation.
I see more bullying and stiring from some of the members if I'm honest, stop posting bollox. Tell me Siva, whats your motive for being here, is it to enjoy the site or to promote another site.
I am stunned by the reaction I have gotten tonight on what is a serious issue and appears that I am not the only one with this opinion. Thankyou to admin for simply proving my point and in answer to your question I am here for fun and have never promoted or mentioned any other site. I have nothing further to say on this matter.
Well in summary, everybody has to follow the rules of the site, whilst some may not like them they are in fact here for the good of all. If anyone belives that they have been treated unfairly please submit a support ticket and we will investigate, we are not in the business of allowing bullying from anyone, but as I said earlier, there is nothing new in this thread to follow up on, maybe a few grudges held. If we had a moderator exhibiting bullying tendancies they would be outed by the rest of the mod team or by us, the fact that those on the moderation team that are still here illustrates that point, rotten apples get discovered and are outed.
Interesting exchange of views. Good while back I ran into a mod and got shredded. I complained and was banned while the complaint was investigated. thought it was odd behaviour. Got reinstated and a few days later the mod involved apologised to me for having a go, so all well that ends well. In fairness to mods, its a bit like a Monty Python movie, we might not like them all the time, but the place is shite without them!
I havent used the site much in the last while but used to frequent it a lot ,I can see this point from both sides of the fence as I used to be a mod at one point ,
Yes mods do take dislikes to certain people ,no body likes everyone ! They are only human and are here on site for the same reason as everyone else .
A GOOD mod will put those feelings aside when dealing with issues (not always easy to do )
In regards to mods being unpaid ... as was said here upon signing up to be a mod we all know what is asked of us so I think using that as a defensive answer is pointless,
The reason I felt the need to respond to this thread was I was slightly surprised by Admins response " Stop posting bollix"
Yes I agree wholeheartedly that the majority of bullying and stirring is done by members but the mods(not all of them ) have been guilty of it as well so It was a valid point to be raised and I think that response from Admin seemed so strange,
People are told if there is a problem with a mod to feel free to report it to Admin direct but seeing a reply like that to a legigitmate point doesnt seem to give people much confidence in the complaint process (apologies to Admin if I have misread what you meant , always previously found the Admin team to be fair )
Oh and ill add I dont think I was the perfect mod when I was doing it , Ive made my fair share of mistakes . Mods are 100% necessary and the majority of them do a fantastic job helping with the running of the site but there are some who are not and that is a valid point to make .
Without harping on this thread, there is a simple rule of thumb. Users who are genuine, the mods will do their best to ensure your time on site is happy and stress free. For the other users who seem to think that mods can be duped, well here goes boys, I personally don't suffer b*llsh*t and if you want to make mountains out of molehills, in MY opinion you are only too welcome to go and use the other sites, they may put up with your antics, but there is no room for drama queens or the so called 'meritous' kings and queens of swingland who are under some illusion they are 'owed' something, simply by being members of a swinging communtiy. So you want to be as swinger???? well best YOU choose what approach you wish to portray when it comes to meeting other 'fellow swingers' ;)

I've read this post a number of times and i can't see that siva is promoting any other site at all here. Seems to me you're talking nonsense Admin.

You would need to know everything that I know in order to form a valid conclusion stig......
But I can appreciate how appearances can come across at times.
Hats off to admin for managing to bite his tongue and I for one appreciate him showing a quality we all seek on this site DISCRETION. He has my full backing on this one, and all other mods too. This is not given blindly. I would ask if you have even just one mod on this site that you respect, bare in mind the support we are giving 1000000%
I respect you Mid, no doubt about that one. I respect all Mods on here for giving their own time, unpaid, however with perks. I have to say I have had need in the past to seek advice from the Mods and there are two Mods in particular that I would hold in high esteem for said advice. They know who they are, and there is no need to name them here. Also there are another two Mods here who gave me valuable advice, advice which wasnt sought out, but happilly received all the same. Again these Mods also know who they are. I can totally comprehend that the Mods are human, and from time to time may be in a bad mood as are we all, but I havent ever noticed bullying or the like from any Mods. Yes, I have had minor disagreements with Mods on here, but I nor the Mod ever held a grudge, and once we both had our say, we moved on from the issue. This alone shows that malice among Mods towards site users is not commonplace. Sorry for ranting!!

 well said mids one of my favourite mods kiss
I've always found the moderators on swing 4 ireland exceptional! When I had an issue, it was dealt with, i was never unfairly treated either...! Plus, everytime I go and come back, I'm always welcomed with open arms :-D Everywhere, in every walk of life, however bullying happens, its a matter of dealing with each case as an individual and if it so happens that a case was not made and maybe the individual was sensitive towards the treatment, well then there should be room for friendly discussion and resolution...Afterall, its how someone makes you feel that is important also :-)
I'm baffled, If I didn't like something in Tesco; I'd switch to Superquinn. I wouldn't waste valuable energy moaning about it. In these times we need to stay positive. I'm a lover not a fighter; and I send my big love to all the mods on here; I feel I've gotten to know most of them quite well over the last few months and I cannot say enough about them (all 100% uber positive).
Firstly, let me say, I normally stay out of arguments and never knowingly will cause offence to any member of this site. A while ago I was berated by a Mod, whom I believe he/they have taken a dislike to me, when I asked for help on the site. I just let it pass and did not report it, as I believe that everyone is entitled to dislike a person if they feel so inclined. I cannot see any harm in what any of the above posters have said. I will add that I have the utmost respect for all the Mods on the site, and agree that they are doing a thankless job to the best of their ability % of the time.
Lordy, what an interesting thread, We have had our fair share of issues in here but really do feel for the most part it has been handled very well, beit as a result of my (Rosie) forwardness or having to take an issue to the Mod's/Admin and to be honest we feel anytime we have done it has been dealt with very well. We may not have been happy with the outcome but we none of us like to be wrong and a kick up the backside is sometimes required to put us back on track innocent . We think Baileys have said it in a nut shell, we will get from this site what we put into it and sometimes it is hard work but very little point in complaining about something when we are all of us responsible for how we are perceived by other members on the site. Its an adult sex site, if you dont like what is been said take it to the Mod's/ Admin and if you dont like how they handle it then perhaps this is not the site for you. I think we are all adults and we need to be able to say how we feel about something, take it at face value and jog on. So i think its time to  . Threads like this can be very damaging to the Mods and to be fair all of the Mods in here are lovely and do the best they can within the guidelines that have been set up to ensure we all of us have a pleasent time while on line. Stop feeling sorry for yourself :violin:, Your an adult in an adult sex/chat site and need to dust yourself down and get on with it. Lord if we all were to moan and set up threads re same I know I for one would spend my valuable time in the forums and never get a bit of play. Hang up the gloves, make :doggy: not duel

i have to ask a serious question here....
what if you are having good craic in chatroom and all of a sudden a so called 'mod ' starts to be nasty to you and condesends you and is looking for a way to eventually 'kick' you .. just because the mod takes a dislike to you when you are having great fun with everyone else??????......
what do you do ???? .... are mods above the room laws??.... throw their personal dislikes on people????....

In answer to the original post you should complain a mod if they are hasseling you just as you would any other member of the site if makes no difference, or it shouldn't anyway.

hi all, some very valid posts on here but we tend to agree with Edens view on all of this. forums like this are negative and only promote mod bashing! We (mods for over 3 yrs) do our best to approach each situation objectively and as unbiased as we can. We are not robots though and would be the first to admit that even subconsciously we have made decisions that with hindsight we might of done differently but we are not above criticism when it is deserved and put to us in an adult manner. we do not do rantin and ravin.. This site has been popular for quiet a few years now as others have fallen by the wayside. even when the site became a paysite its popularity has not changed and that is a testament to everyone involved. So posts like these do not help as remember, before people actually sign up to this site these forums are visible and it does not paint the site in a good light if the users are using these forums in a negative way! our few pence worth!!
While I agree that Mods are human too and can make errors of judgement - just the same as the rest of us - it is also good to have a forum where open discussion of these matters can be undertaken.
I'd say though that there should be a "Member's Only" Forum for such specifically operational matters, not open to 'guest readers' because without knowing all the facts of an incident, a coloured view of the treatment of it may be formed and detract from what is essentially the best site in Ireland.
