Its a shame ones dont delite all the old stuff on here............. some on it from ages ago...... who wants to keep looking into that Mav
Thats mad was thinking same today ...old posts cud be deleted
I'd say they take up fuck all space on the server or whatever, and at least it's still set that I can't look at all your old posts without getting the: Welcome to the Swing4Ireland Forums Please show others the courtesy you would expect to receive yourself - in other words, BE NICE! Please report any abuse of this service to The help centre. Offenders may have their accounts terminated and be banned from the site. Looking for something specific? try our forum search if I click forum posts on your profile. Nobodies ever going to read a whole thread from the start are they. lol
Rhino's right, the resource allocated to old posts is minimal. If I deleted this post it would simply be replaced by the one directly after it which is only bringing even older posts to the fore. There are 250 pages of forum posts in this section alone..... If I was to take the time to delete 100 pages (which I have no intention of doing - it involves far more time than I think is generally understood) we would be looking at posts from 2011.
I suppose we could start deleting from the end but in honesty I'm not quite seeing the point here..... If a person is reading old forum posts it's because they are going to the older posts themselves and choosing to read them, deleting them is not going to provide new material to read? Sorry I'm genuinely not dismissing what has been said I just don't quite understand the reasoning behind it. Is it just that it is felt it's a matter of good house-keeping? Is it possible that it's annoying that new content is not being added more so than the content is old?
If old posts are getting annoying then post new content to the forum and move the posts along that way.
