Anyone know anywhere in dublin city centre that you can rent a room for an hour or two for someone fun after work?
Any responses by private mail, please don't name venues or businesses on the main forum.
You could always try booking a hotel room
We do book hotel rooms, but always seems like such a waste as we only use it for a few hours. Some a bit more economical would be great, but sadly it looks like there isnt such a thing in dublin.
there are some (dublin) hotels that have a "day" rate... ie. not an overnight booking. do a search for dayuse-hotels if you are looking for a "love hotel" as you get in Tokyo, Paris and other places, sadly that's not available yet. M.

Not being in Dublin it's not been a consideration of mine and haven't paid much attention to the names I may have heard in the past, but I'm sure an online search will help you find room at the 'INN', it may not be a sprawling Plaza, a blonde girl called Paris might not be on reception but I'm sure whatever fun you have won't leave you Blu. .........
Judging by the amount of views this post got, there might be a business opportunity for rooms by the hour.
Theyre already in existence kinda........ An online search shows them.... it's a market that is being facilitated.... widen your search key words if you arent getting anything. The local one I am aware of does day time rentals, handy since a lot of hotels won't let you check in before early afternoon, however, with a little searching you can find ones that give a room from 9am to 5pm. Not renting by the hour as such but still convenient........
Searching for "Day Use Hotels Dublin", I see one very posh, chic Dublin Hotel in the South City centre offering a super rate from 11 am to 5 pm. They're probably hoping to make money from us on Champagne and room service sales! wink I'll certainly be a customer soon! Much easier to take a planned day off for quality Fun rather than staying up all night and trying to recharge on the go the next day. It's civilized swinging!passionkiss TC
