Warming the Bed
The forums……, well, I enjoy them when they are actually about something , the threads for instance, with name that band, or drop one keep one, or songs for everyone, those kind of threads, although they may appeal to some people, hold no interest for me I’m afraid, whatever novelty they had when they started has now paled entirely, and now I find them just boring.
I will admit now adays I don’t even read those threads, I skim through them and look for threads with some content and something of interest on I were a less kind person , I would say these are just threads, to enable people to see their names on the forums.
The forums are the chance to air your views to hundreds of people, why waste it with adding to a thread where all that’s needed is the next line??
And before I’m ,hung drawn and quartered, I’m just answering the question that was asked, with my opinion.

i think the forums are great for opening up certain issues and topics for dicussion that can help people feel more confident about themselves and in turn swinging, 
i do agree that some of the threads have gone on too long however in my opinion these novelty threads, can serve as an ice breaker to newer members as the chat rooms can be quiet intimidating, ive been chatting in them awhile and sometimes i still feel out of my depth in there, so i think this forum is great for filling in those holes :evil2:

I tend to go into the forums to see if there is a new thread about something im interested in - and if there is i reply - if not - move on.
however - and this is not aimed at anyone in particular - i find some of threads, especially those of an educational manner, are just copied and pasted from other sites and can be very long winded because of this - and unfortunately usually the topic is interesting but i ignore it if im gonna be reading for ages:sleeping:

I don't agree participating in the Forums is for people to see their name in writing! That sounds ridiculous! I genuinely write in the same Threads as I like the Threads for what they are and I genuinely feel other Posters do the same for that reason.
I have to say I think there is a nice mix and fair blend of Threads. And a lot are being _currently_ _used._
If any-one isn't interested in them or feel they are too educational, whilst ye are entitled to yere opinion, I'm sure yere input to make the place more exciting or whatever way ye want it in terms of additional Threads, would be a much-welcomed added Bonus, rather than degrading / demeaning the trouble and efforts other people have gone to, in creating and aiding the Forums.
In the main scheme of things I love the Forums, plus I find them a lot more fun lately than the Chat-rooms, which seem to be "taken over" by a certain few individuals most of the time at the moment.

well the forums are cool me thinks i get a kick out of the funny 1,s but there are more to it than that some threads are v serious and thats where ya find ur friends friends that support ya when ur down and help ya to get over it take the cancer 1 for instance its a great thread and ive got comford out of it and i hope peeps that entered their voice did too so keep the threads going lads we need them, and besides the chat room can do ur head in some times and the forum can b a peaceful place to hide lol

zaza huni - uve took me up all wrong - ive no intention of degrading anything anyone is saying - all i said was that rather than copying and pasteing directly from another site - and ive proof that it has happened as ive read the same stuff word for word on other sites - it would be much better if it was changed into the persons own words rather than be very long winded - which SOMETIMES - and i only mean SOMETIMES can happen.
Im not here to have a go at anyone - just lending my opinion that was asked by avalon in the first place

I have to say I think the forums are for the most part great. I remember when the forums were very little used and then went on to be a right mess. Now they are pretty well organized and well kept.
I'm not a fan of threads going off topic but I think peeps have to police themselves there. Also not a fan of the forums being used to have a go at anyone. If someone has a complaint about another, the site provides proper channels for that. The main purpose of the forums is to entertain and inform.
Sure, it's ok for some of the threads to have little or nothing to do with swinging. I don't think that is a prerequisite for posting by any means. After all, we are just people with everyday lives and issues.
Now...how would I improve it or what would I add?
Well, for a start.. It's been requested in the past to have a dedicated bi-sexual thread. I would also go further and say perhaps a TV/CD and a Transgender thread. Also, and this is a big one for me.... A search feature where one can search by user name, keyword etc. or at least a sort feature... sort by date, etc. I think this would be more helpful now as the forum increases in size. This wouldn't go amiss in the stories section either. Ok i'm spent for now. I need to sleep it off. Typical man aye?

The Forums, in my eyes are the easiest way to get to meet people and a nice break away from the chatrooms, I for one feel the Forums are not emphasised enough.

Just my veiw, i have noticed that in the anything goes forum it is mainly just a handful of people who keep posting on it, myself been one of them. If people find it so boreing then maybe if they added threads they found intresting it would suit them too.

I love the forums, mostly post in the anything goes, and dont do it just to see my name up there, enjoy the fun element of many of the threads as well as appreciating the serious side to the serious ones. Personally I think its a great way to interact with people and have actually got to know people through the forums that I would never have met through chat as we just would not have been in chat at the same time. For the people who feel the less serious threads are not for them well its's open to any member to start their own thread and if members have interest in it they will reply. One only has to look at the number of reads some of the threads have to show that people have an interest in them even if they dont reply. I do agree the threads should not be used to offend or be nasty to other members and neither should all the threads be just swinging related, swingers are real people first and like to talk and exchange views and opinions on subjects other than sex. The forums and the great variety of posts in them are what makes this site stand out from the rest for me anyway.

I have to say I do not post very often in the forums , but I do read them on a daily basis as time allows.
Since this was posted by you Avalon I went over a lot of the older forums and am afraid to say have seen a lot of contradictions there.
There have been post from members who have let off steam about being recognised on cam /picture etc (which in my opinion is awful) but then I have seen posts from these same people wondering why guys only do cock cams , surely these people should understand about face pics and how dangerous they can be in this small villagge of ireland.
Another thing I have noticed on the forums is a subject can turn into a tit for tat relentless posts back and forth with some member trying to get the upper hand with a better, more humerous smart ass comment than the previous poster.
I have not been on site a lot in the past few week due to ill health and I see that the forums are mainly re the 80 per chat limit, this does not effect me as I have never been a fan of the Beach Bar, I really do prefer more substantial conversation, which is why I tend to go to the smaller rooms.
Last week i had every intention of letting off steam about a comment from a member who had an introduction from a newbie and the member commented in open chat "Ahh new meat " totally uncalled for in my book, but of course I realised that if I raised that , it would be just a matter of "ah she did not mean it " so I did not bother but this comment does bother me.
Oveall the forums are good as long as the upmanship stays out of it.

Whilst I agree with your ability to post comments, in reality you do ere on the side of having a habit of popping up from no where out of the ordinary and stirring shit, infact the last time having a pop at me, so in fairness, if you want to make it consistant, make it regular!!!

I'm not gonna bother to get into the havin a pop thing, all I will say on that is Comments are comments!
But basically the Forums are mainly for all on here, so those that find them in any way dis-interesting or too long/short, YE ARE INCLUDED in coming up with Threads that are interesting and not educational if that's what ye want, and not too long/short!!
All that have created Threads and posted to them so far, I'm quite sure it wasn't intended to make things un-interesting or educational or long/short! I would imagine it was in the hope to have the opposite effect and shock horror for fun purposes!
So if any-one feels the Forums are not effective, it is up to them to come up with something different!!! Jaysus it's like pullin teeth ere!
I think thee is a place for all typres of threds here......the have-a -go threads, the ones that make you laugh, the ones that make you think, pretty much all of them....diversity is one of the geat things about this site. :thumbup:
Of course some theads will be dominated by the opinions of a few vocal individuals for a while,but that's the same as any dicussion that takes place in the public domain....I find it both annoying and amusing when 9it happens - I will usually tune in to see how far the lastest pontificator has managed to wege his or her head up their ass about whatever the subject of that thread is, but it's harmless fun, and if it keeps them off the streets all the better. 
I used to post a lot more than I have been recently, which is due both to having more pressing issues to deal with and a falling-off of my interest in the site in general, but no doubt something will pique my interest soon and normal service will be resumed.:sparring:

For the most I enjoy the forums, not all threads would hold my interest and therefore I won't comment on them or just sometimes I simply don't have an opinion to air.
I know someone made comment on it but I cannot see it now but I don't make comments on the forums just to see my name!! 
I do notice though that there are some members who would leave unecessary comments on certain threads which do not relate to the said thread, or taking the piss as some might say.
If you don't like it don't comment on it, it's just like if you watch a cam if you don't like what you see don't continue look or make snide remarks at what you can see! :thumbup:

Great post, a huge and variety of replies, I have read all of them, but do feel that users feel that is directed at the "ANYTHING GOES" thread and not the forums as a whole.
The Forums, like I, Cutie and Raven amoungst others have already pointed out, are a great "CHILL" a break from the chatrooms. A great way to meet both new and old, have the banter and possibly lead to more.
In relation to the topics or posts, who created them and there content, Yes there are a few of us that do infact keep the forums going AND IS IN NO WAY A SIMPLE POST TOO BOOST OUR NUMBERS!.
Some of our Threads might not be too the liking of overs. Yes this is ultimately a "Swinging Site" but as Cutie, rightly pointed out, and I will summarize - We all have pals on here too, Loyal Pals!

I feel i have to point out, those who are saying they don`t like the forums for their own reasons have very low post numbers. As it has been said so many times if you don't like what you see make a thread of your own. No point bitching just for the sake of it. Those of us who regularly post love the forums for our own reasons, so maybe if people got involved there wouldn't be a need for this thread.
