Do you think new Members should have LIMITED access??
My wife and I have just paid for our membership and yes we are newbies but we are newbies who are out to have fun and meet new people/couples and to become part of the community, so I don't see why you would want to limit our and other new members use, yes you might get rid of the time wasters but by not giving newbies a chance your going to drive them away. I like the way it's setup currently and for that reason we didn't mind handing over our money which is the same colour as more established members. When I started replying I didn't realise that I was so annoyed at this thread, so sorry

New members are not limited in any form! Unsubscribed members are limited in access which is only logical. If you want to play then put your money where your mouth is. As Jevid said, they are genuinely interested in the site/lifestyle and so were happy to make that monetary commitment. You might want to reword your poll to avoid antagonising fully subscribed new members.
I think I over-reacted a little, I didn't realise it was Limoswing that put up the poll as he actually appears to be coming from the other direction, so appologies but I still like the setup and so far we havn't felt any bias towards us and look forward to the chat rooms but we want to have our pics up first as we want to be taken seriously, so it's probably up to newbies to figure out how they can be taken seriously and we believe for us that it will be with pics and by signing up for a paid membership. I can certainly understand why more established members would be cautious with newbies and it's probably down to time wasting.
That's all I was looking for really, so thannks, you two! It didn't occur to me that it was a great way to weed out the timewasters and it actaully makes a lot of sense when I think about it that way.
And yes, Jevid I started in the newbies best interest to be honest!!
And I''ve seen other swinging sites and they are almost non-sensical in setup so I agree with you about this site. It's straight forward and basically user friendly. Case closed, really, I guess??

The General Public - can view parts of this site, without even creating a profile. They cannot post on forums, send mail or interact with real members at all, though they can view profiles. They show up as 'guests' on the statistical review of who's using the Site.
New Members - who have created a profile, but who have not paid the Subscription fee yet - cannot post to Forums, send mail or use the Chatroom. They can upload pics. They usually don't unless they are planning to actually pay-up to being a Full Member. This is like they're giving themselves a sort of informal 'probationer period' - folks get to see whether the Site is something they want to be part of before they part with cash.
Anyone who has paid the subscription can then use all the toys on the site, chatrooms, forums, Groups, and the mail system. There are no limitations on paying members so long as they behave properly within the Site Rules. Admin and the Mods can curtail access where abuse or rule breaking occurs.

LIMO the three people say no to limited access for newbies. Again I say it might be beneficial if you amended the wording of your poll. Newbies are no different to you or I. Unsubscribed profile holders are. While the terminology is unclear any result is unsupported.
As a moderator I can see the benefit of not allowing unsubscribed members carte blanche to the site. One scenario you may wish to consider is that by seeking a payment to access the chat room we avoid a flood of under age users logging in and treating the site like a play ground. What regular user is going to continue using a chat room function that is regularly disrupted by people who should not even be there. You might want to consider what the chat room would be like after closing time on a Saturday night if random users could log in and gain full access.
Another is that fake profiles are less likely to make a payment. I am not about to go into the ins and outs of how this raises a flag but it does assist in weeding them out.
At the end of the day this site is a business......... not a social networking site. It is at the discretion of the owners to determine how the site is best served in its day to day running. Your opinion is valued and has been recognised but I am unclear as to how not allowing unsubscribed members access to the chat room or to respond to mail is affecting any individual user. The membership fee is not extortionate and payment may be staggered over monthly instalments.

I think that the standard members should have more access to the site, not sure about use of the chat rooms but at the very least i think that if someone is sent a mail and they are a standard member they should be able to reply to it. I know the site has to make money or it would cease to exist but one of the points of the site also is to help people make contact with each other. Or at least i thought it was anyway.
