But unfortunately as another member wrote it really seems to be a game of chance because it works both ways. I am a relatively new member to the site with some experience and for example the past two weekends after a member sent me there Ph number in a message told me to text them on a specific night I did...
we organised to meet at a time I was texting throughout the night cuz they asked me to, had to get work off and drive x amount of miles to be close to them and then after the last text near enough the time we had organised, they text and said "oh can't tonight it will have to be tomorrow" which I couldn't do because I had swapped nights to work then...a week and I encounter a similar situation with the same members this last weekend gone by....
For a new enough member to the site it has been quite off putting, was I just unlucky? Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

Dora not being rude but if your comments were directed at me I clearly said that "I was texting them throughout the night because they asked me to" so I am pretty sure that sounds remarkably like your military regime that has a 100% record no, so what went wrong?
I was just trying to empathise with others who this has happened to and rally together, because we are all supposed to be like minded people on here that help eachother out! Somebody new that this has happened to could think that they are the only one that this has happened to and if reading this thread reassures them that sometimes things just don't go to plan and it's not the end of the world....well then what is the harm?

Dingo123, you seem like a sound lad, get yourself into the chatroom and get talking to people.
You will get no shows in every aspect of life and this lifestyle is no different. My advice would be to try to meet people who are established and have comments from others who are also established. This will not wholly cancel out your chances of being stood up, but will diminish them greatly. Also, look out for M&Gs and ask for invites to them, as this is the best place to meet people from this site without any pressure to do anything. Now get into the chatroom where the fun is and I'm sure people in there will welcome you with open arms, after all you seem very respectful, laid back and easy to get on with.

First advice, 2 strike rule, ....I get two no shows like that I walk away. Its not worth investing your time and hopes in people like that plenty more on here to have fun with. You learn to pick up on the signs after a while. Hope your next meet works out for you mr.
Cheers Titan, I appreciate the advice, I already took that step myself, and thank you for your well wishes for the future, and don't I know there are plenty more on here I have got some awesome advice from some great members, thanks one and all hopefully get to know them and meet someday soon so I can thank them in person!
I think the most annoying thing is when you invest the time to get to know people on here and then they cancel and dont give you the full truth on the reason 's such a waste of time and effort and hard work esp when people are saying that there genuine i think they are a few piss takers out there alright who tend to lead people on and give them false hope hope about meeting up . i had my weekend fully arranged to accomandate this person and everthing pland out to give her a goodtime she canceld but i suppose it was bad be investing my time to get to her know her again.
Biggles did your playpal cancel willy nilly or did she have a genuine reason? We had to cancel a meet we had arranged for friday last. Without trying to sound too blunt here, when ladies add their weeks up maybe they can get it wrong if you get my meaning. It happens, and thats just a fact of life.
However if your playpal just cancelled and was stringing you along all the time well thats just plain rude, and there's no call for that. If that happened to us we wouldnt bother trying to contact that playpal again and would just go on as if it never happened. If this was your reason for deciding to take a break, then I for one are glad you changed your mind. Although we have never had someone cancel on us, I can understand your disappointment and frustration, but lets face it Biggsy, you are a popular guy on here and I'm sure there is many a lady on here who would be happy to be in your company. So chin up mate & keep marching forward
