Question for admin. Would it be possible to have a new section, called lets meet today? Sort of a 999 call section.. Where people could place ads for immediate meets on the same day, or even a function on profiles where you can add this to your profile/ Also while I am Would it also be possible for a right to view comments before adding for the owner of profile? So we can decide rather than Moderators if comment is okay as well, before adding? Thank you..Virgogirl...
Great idea Virgo, I 2nd your proposal, & it seems to work on another site .
Also agree with you on accepting comments, if you can accept/decline a favourite or whether to be established, then the option should be there for comments.

You can ask for a comment to be removed if you don't want it on your profile.
I doubt we'll get a separate forum for "Let's Meet Today" - I asked for a "Meet-And-Greets" Forum a while back and Admin reckoned that would dilute the "Let's Meet Up" Forum.
But the comments thing needs sorting - no-one should be allowed to post something about you - without you approve it first.
It's a good idea, about no chance of any notice being taken of it though i imagine.
Surely the fact a mod responded on the post would suggest notice being taken. Whether the outcome is to the satisfaction of the original poster or not, all suggestions are taken on board and recognised. A response will be given when available and negativity at such an early stage is counter-productive.
Midnight thanks for clarifying that ... although I think the point is that a negative or un-true comment may get by the mods & be posted/read & by some before the reciepient has an opportunity to contact admin & ask for it to be removed.

In theory the lets meet today forum could be a good idea....but although I do get the urge every now and then....I dont think i'd post it up on the forums..... What I would like it a group set up by single females for single females....giving the names of single males they have met and would recommend(with the consent obviously of the men). We women do like to know what we are getting.......and do listen to each other.

good idea desdemona ... but would you like the guys to set up a similar group where they swopped the names of women they would recommend ... & how would you feel if you didn't make the "good shag list"
It is potentially a form of "kiss & tell" or "name & shame" ... personally I would prefer to just contact the last 2 people to have left a comment.
Perhaps if the comments were on the profile with the age, height info rather than slightly hidden, people might remember to post a comment

Thnaks for reply and input Mid, and I appreciate that yea you can ask for a comment to be removed, but surely it should be a members decision if a comment is added in the first place..
My point on this issue is not about negative comments ect..I just feel that it a members perogative if a comment should be allowed on their profile..
Alan.....you are right.....it was merely a suggestion/idea thrown out there. What I do do at the moment is read the comments or see who has established the person I am interested in meeting and contact a person from that and ask them. I havent come across anyone who said anything bad about anyone.....usually if you est someone either you have met them socially or had a meet with the person and the experience has been a good one.

Virgo I did understand that, I know where you were coming from on it. I only entered that comment to ensure that all reading this were aware it was an option available to them. However; with a different perspective it becomes clear the comments still need to come through the mods at some stage prior to posting. Not in the interest of censorship or to have a general nose at who is saying what, but to ensure that the feature is not abused. We need to ensure all content is acceptable. For example, what is to stop someone posting email addresses or contact details on comments, what is to stop someone on multiple accounts commenting on themselves and how fantastic they are! Ideally you would be looking at a two-tiered screening process, wherein firstly the mods would screen the comment and then this would be posted at the user's discretion. I do not think that this is an idea that would be shot down outright, it will of course be considered.
We cant ask for more than that midnight. Hopefully the two tiered idea will be something admin can do as it would give users a chance to decide what they do and dont want on their comments.
Thanks again Mid, I agree and that was what I was asking for that after the comment is screened by Admin/Moderators it is then up to the profile to validate for public posting.. I just feel that this system would work well, for all members.

I don't agree with this Alan-Ball, not everyone feels comfortable about leaving comments on profiles it should not be in anyway mandatory, just because you met , you should leave comments..
People have many reasons for not doing so, I have spoken to people who don't as they have been asked not to, feel uncomfortable as they may upset others ect..
This reply from admin over the original enquiry
Later in the year we are proposing to redesign most of the site, when this happens, we should be including additional features such as being able to post an advert for a 'meet today' which will then be directly advertised on your profile.
Admin

The comments system will also be re-evaluated during this re-design,until then as midnight says, if anyone wishes a comment to be removed just get in touch with a mod and we will remove it.
Thanks Slightly for posting that info, and thanks to Admin for taking it into consideration during site redesign:thumbup:
