During a fairly slow afternoon at work today conversation turned to tv theme tunes, and what ones really strike your emotions, be they happy sad or downright strange.
What are they and why?
Mine would have to be the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" mainly because of the memories of sprinting in the road from the bus, wolfing down the soup before they started lol ha ha "heroes in a half shell"
Mrs sexycpls, theme tune is "Only Fools And Horses" because she grew up with it and nevers fails to put a smile on her face lol
Oh there are quite a few that I really love, its actually very hard to choose. So as we are having a slow wet drizzly and dull day today, I will pick the theme from Hill Street Blues.
Its a nice slow relaxing theme.
Dr who theme tune in all its various mixs....love it
And this one Mash - Suicide is Painless
and this
CSI
Black Beauty
Always loved the theme, never liked the show though.
The theme has a John Williams feel to it, and being a John Williams fan, I gotta love this theme.
Theme From Harry's Game - Never seen the show but the theme is hauntingly brilliant
Robin: The Hooded Man from Robin Of Sherwood - Used to love this show, & spent €100 on the box set
Both themes are by Clannad
Harrys Game Robin Of Sherwood
has to be the miami vice theme for me -
Miami vice...
Memories of baby blue suits and shoes with no socks....
That show started a lot of fashion disasters...
unique in the ilac centre selling suits for in the sale... There is probably still a sale on in the place...
God i'm old ....lol
this thread has thrown up loads of memories and i'll be pondering all day.....instead of doing what i'm paid to....but something i heard on the radio the other day was this and it made me smile:The theme to Animal Magic
Another theme that pricks a long forgotten memory is the music they used to play when they showed the picture gallery on that Tony Hart programme (cant remember the name....something like Hart Beat...)
Always loved The Equalizer theme tune. The tv series was cool too. An English vigilante walking the streets of New York, helping people who were victims of crime.
Robert McCall kicked ass
Battlestar Galactica CHiPs Magnum PI Some fantastic feelings of how excited as kids we would get when hearing the theyme music come on and rushing to finish whatever you were doing so as not to miss any of the shows. I owned a CHiPs mortorbike at one stage.
