I guess that some people may think that this is a slightly unusual meet request, but I have decided to put it out there anyway to see if there is any interest.

Have you tried using the chatrooms much? From my own experience I would say that the best way to get exposure to new people is to jump into chat and spend some time getting to know folk casually at first.
