Its all a matter of luck.
I've sent loads as well, it seems men outnumber women on the site nearly ten to one.
Try to contact some of the new members as they join is what I've been told, still don't get much back from that either, but watch out, I've gotten one marriage proposal from an asylum seeker already, so there's that element to it as well
