Sadly though Irishlass it is fine for a woman on here to have comments turned off for reasons of privacy and people will take that at face value for the most part however if a guy does the same the view will be taken that he is hiding something but that's just the way things are on here.
Just to note that i am not saying anything against anyone or complaining about anything at all (as someone is bound to read it like that, just to clarify in advance).
I understand what you are saying Stig, however I have no problem chatting to a man/woman on here that has no verifications or pics up, especially if they have the same reasons as I do for not wanting this information made public.
However once we have chatted briefly and I get a feel for the person I will request pics sent to my email address if they have none on site, and a cam viewing in a private room if they are too shy to face cam in main chat is non negotible for me, I need to see a person in real time, to ensure they are who they are supposed to be
I myself, have been on cam in main chat lol and been whispered hey I know you from the real world, so I can understand how off putting that may be to some people or that they may be easily identified by their tatts or something about them that stands out.
But again each person on here is different - thats what makes us unique :)
