Embarrassed to say but I saw Stephen Kings IT when I was quite young (too young to be honest) and didn't sleep right for weeks after it... to this day clowns still freak me out a bit, but got it on DVD a few years ago.. not so scary now :lol2:
Anjelica Houston in the Witches also quite scary when I was younger - really showing my age now :-o

I should have made it clearer in my original post that you can nominate WORST screen bad guys. As in hilariously BAD bad guys, who don't intimidate at all and who are less threatening then candy floss.
I'd vote for Mick Jagger's camp turn as a mercenary in Freejack, a sci-fi time travelling yarn with Emilio Estevez, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins. As for Sir Mick's performance, all the menace of a wet dish cloth!!
No offence but I'd have to say it would be anything BUT the Northern Irish accent for me (too many hours in college lecture halls listening to the Northern accent waffling on about boring stuff!):sleeping:
The accent that really does it for me is the Spanish accent...especially Spanish women speaking English :smitten:

What with it nearly being time for the Oscars and all I thought I would post this thread. I'm looking for everyone's best, and worst, screen bad guys? (can be either movies or TV). Whose the one screen baddie that still haunts you in your nightmares?
Which is the one you would dread to meet down a dark alley, the one that pops into your head as soon as you turn out the light? Something from your childhood, a horrible monster from an ancient film you saw years ago? Or someone you are embarrassed to admit being afraid off?
My nomination would be for Livia Soprano, mother of Tony from �The Sopranos�. �The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist� - this one really applies to Livia Soprano. Throughout her time on screen you are never sure of her intentions. Is she an evil mastermind or a fragile old lady, slowly slipping into dementia and unaware of the harm she is blithely causing? Things come to a head at the end of Series One, when Livia and her brother in law contrive to have Tony �whacked�.
For evidence of Livia's screen baddie credentials check out the scene were Tony confronts her at the hospital. Livia has just had a stroke, Tony has just survived the assassination attempt and hospital staff have to restrain him from attacking her. As the old dear is wheeled off, a smile is plain to see on her face. In her demented state is she innocently smiling at the sight off her beloved son, or is she sneering at him, letting Tony now she tried to have him killed for some perceived slight?
You'll never really know for sure one way or the other.
And you thought your mother was bad!!
