Just putting this one out there to see if there's enough interest in a Thursday night social. Planning on meeting up in a central pub in Dublin on Thursday 29th March, so if yer up and on for it, please send me a mail or post a comment expressing your interest.
If there is enough interest I will forward location/time details in the week before.
This will just be a regular night out in a pub to meet other peeps from the site, have a few sociable drinks, a laugh or three and an opportunity to put names to faces.
As a bit of guidance, if you:
(a) can manage to avoid getting completely trolleyed on the night
(b) are able to talk to others with a high level of decency and respect
(c) can respect the opinions and decisions of other males, fems and cpls
(d) have a decent understanding of the scene
(e) don't have any expectations other than coming along to see if it's for you or not
then you will probably have a great night out.
Any arrangements peeps want to make thereafter are entirely up to themselves.
I will do my best to include details of a few hotels in close proximity to the location when details are sent out.
The other main thing I want to ensure is that there is a balanced mix of men, women and couples on the night.
This first night really is an opportunity to see if there is enough interest to make a reasonably regular night out every few months on a Thursday - let's call it a kickstart to the weekend, lol.
This is not a formal m&g but purely a night out for a few sociables and a lot of fun.
So that peeps from the site can distinguish themselves from others on the night, I will be asking men and ladies to carry one distinguishing discrete feature on the night, but more about that later, if the night gets enough interest.

K, just an ickle update.
I have sent out confirmation requests to all the couples and fems that have replied to date (with one intentional exception). If I have inadvertently missed anyone, please drop me a message and let me know, it's definitely not intentional just my short term memory loss...lol :crazy:
Tomorrow will send same out to lads, but bear in mind, this is only a confirmation request to confirm you can go. It doesn't necessarily mean you will definitely get an invite. If I have to limit the no. of lads it will be done fairly and on a name randomly out of the bag way. I will do my best to try to get as many as possible going tho.
Over the weekend will send out details of venue etc. to all who have confirmed. Early next week will follow that up with a list of whos going so you know who to look out for on the night.
No details will be sent out until you do confirm so the sooner the better.
At this pointmore than enough lads have applied and while there are plenty of cpls and fems interested, more are always welcome.

Many thanks to all who responded on here and in mail. For anyone i didn't get to or get back to with invites, please accept my apologies on this occasion.
I have had a little technical issue with my usual lappy since yesterday (Murphy intervened as usual just when ya don't want him to) and have to revert to one from the middle of the dark ages (wooden keyboard, hard drive the size of Leinster, you get the idea).
This is a first outing arranging something like this and I have to ensure it goes hassle free. I kept neumbers to a certain level and also wanted to keep some balance betweeen cpls, fems and males.
As would be expected there was a large number of lads expressing interest so not all could recieve invites this time round.
If we go again, I might relax the groundrules a little and open it up a bit more, so please don't take it either personally or lose faith that you won't get to one of these evenings in the future.
If all goes well tonight we may do it again next month.....
