Actually Sherri, the OP emailed me and thanked me for my posts. No need to get all authoritarian on the matter when the facts arent so clear. Childish? Explaining that a single girl requires security? Hmmm ok if thats what you think is childish then far be it from me to try change your mind.
Censorship isnt such a good thing when you dont see the full picture.
Alicolwic, lets be clear on this, whilst you may have started off with good intentions, the thread quickly degenerated down into a tit for tat situation between you both, culminating with your last post of a single :violin: This carry of running amok on a thread is not fair on the original OP who basically had her thread hijacked with an argument. Whilst I understand your desire to protect single women on here, that can be done in a far more subtle way then behaving in what I call a childish manner.
Thread hijacking wont be allowed, it has never been allowed, and posts will be removed. This is neither authoritarian nor censorship as you claim, it’s called moderating and keeping the boards tidy. Further, please do not try to twist things by implying I think it is childish to explain security to a single female on here, as a single female myself and a moderator I am very much well aware about security issues female members may possibly face, and always have and will encourage a sensible approach when seeking meets.
Finally I shall mail the OP directly in relation to this, as far as I am concerned this is now the end of the matter.
