would you do anything to help keep your pet alive no matter the cost!!
not unless hes in real pain tatts our family labador got sick there a year ago it cost the family a fortune in vets bills so we had to put him down in the end it was causing him to much pain to carry on.
i would try but if any of our pets were in pain i would have to say i would put them down even though we might not want to as they all part of the family
Same here the parents spent over 2k on a dog after an accident. As much as I love the guy I would have had him put down.
could not see myself paying over 200 euro to have a pet repaired , if it was in long term pain i would have it put down . I have been in America for the last few weeks and the money people spend on pets is crazy , dog grooming and daycare everywhere even the red necks pamper there burd dawgs . Cats rock
We tend to keep our pets alive for our own sakes and not theirs.. Its all about quality of life for the animal... We as humans think with emotion and dont want to deal with the loss of something we love.... the greatest gift and the greatest act of love we can show for a pet which has shown us nothing but unconditional love is not to let them suffer and allow them to pass over with dignity ..................
its hard i know

wow guys some good strong points from all of you, and i welcome everyones thoughts in this matter as for myself i cant be without my dog and hopefully she will have a better quality of life from this op, so far so good the op was a success......
that is great news tatts good to hear we love our pets and as dragons says let them die indignity
I had to have a much loved dog put to sleep, as much as i wanted to hold onto her i couldnt watch her suffer, she got parvo and could barely stand, the vet let me stay with her while she was injected and the poor little thing made a huge effort to stand and licked my hand before her body gave up, she had such a pain free peaceful look on her face and no matter how much it hurt me i knew it was the right thing to do for her. If they are in too much pain we have to let them go no matter how much it hurts us.
