I know this has been discussed many times before, but with many new members I thought it was time to dust it of and open the debate to the floor again.
I was thinking more of a first meet situation not further meetings when people have gotten to know one another,
1- local pub, enjoy a drink and chat, but you may bump into the neighbours.
2- restaurant, everyone’s enjoys a good meal, but may be a little expensive; you don't want to look cheap.
3- meeting over coffee, short & sweet, no expectations
4- Hotel, loads to choose from, most have a bar, but does it send the wrong signal
5- your home, there are many occassions when "home" for the first meet is un-avoidable, particularily so for couples, single parents & those with "baby sitter " issues.
In most cases the "fun", if any, is not in the bedroom (the private space of the couple) & most likely first stop for a child that wakes in the night. It does also raise the question of strangers in your house when your kid’s are there.
6- of course in the fine weather there is also the walk in the park option
So is there a best place for that 1st meet, it is a big step for all concerned. It would be interesting the get the views of members on this and other issues, such as the
a- Your just not “clicking†how do you end the meet .
b- no shows, you’ve gone to a lot of bother and then nothing, not even a sorry text.
c- Messers
But perhaps A, B & C are worthy of separate debate.

where to have that 1st meeting
Well I think going for a drink is best, in a quiet place away from neighbours haha...but i went to anto's house first time..it was very risky but fun...
One thing I hated about first meets that guys almost expected that you'd fancy them or that you'd want to go the whole hog, i prefer the little get to know you thingy before commencing anything else...anto wasnt like that, he told me I can sleep in spare room haha
Well if it's case that I haven't seen facial photo's which is verrrrrrrrry rare, I would meet for a coffee.
However if I had seen the full works, body, face and chatted on the phone etc well I'd meet for a drink, if I still fancied him after the 8th voddie grand jobby 
lol if not I'd drink some more and faster til I fell home laughing :giggle: But no seriously I have met with guys that I just wasn't into on meeting them and knew it would go no further and told them out straight, that the connection wasn't there, he's a nice guy but only as a friend would we meet again. (I can do nice yanno 
)

As for no shows aka timewasters I wish them nothing but bad luck.... that's the bitch in me :fury:

Theres times u got gotta do the knock knock on hotel room door and just get it on! , its what u yearn inside for that experience, the anonymity of just everything..
Theres others where u meet in a bar, its like uve pulled syndrome.
Diff people bring different things out in u, I think most just go with the flow of the chemistry involved.

When I can get away in the evening then a couple of drinks and take it from there has always worked out a treat. :wave2:
And I have done the going up the hotel room and let's get down to it .... only twice. And have been very lucky lol
