but unfortunately i also know people who have left or were 'encouraged' to leave(for the want of a better word) or are made feel uncomfortable.
admin....maybe you could get people to state why they are leaving before they close their way you could get an idea why people are leaving.i do realise people move on and away from the site ,,these are not the people im talking about.
leaving seems to be a trend lately(of regulars)
Why should anyone have to publicly diclose why they leave a site?
Should that not be a choice?
If admin of any site enforced a policy , whereby members had to disclose why they were leaving, would that be detremental to the site itself?
As for people being encouraged to leave, surely as an adult it is possible to deal with site issues , without closing your ac?
As for clannish behaviour in a chatroom, a chatroom is only a small part of any site, if you look at the numbers of people online, there is only a small percentage of users in chat, leading one to the conclusion that most are actualy mailing and making contact with other members..

Well lovebird, u may be glad to know that I appear to have acted a little hastily in removing our j_and_a profile...we won't be swinging any time in the forseeable future, but have decided to stay on the site to keep chatting to everyone. The upshot is we r still here, just sharing this profile. If admin would get their fingers out and start taking laser cards (no credit cards in our house thank u very much - and laser is the most widely used form of electronic payment in ireland) we would change losmags to a couples profile, but until then we will both be appearing at different times under this profile name...unless someone can convince admin to reinstate our j_and_a profile for free!!!!!

hi guys Firstly well written and articulate imput by lovebird and addie .As a reasonably new cpl to the chat rooms, its very hard to get in to the clique on the main rooms but if you go off the beaten track you can meet some great ppl. it would be nice to try and be more inclusive on the main pages to help ppl get started. I dunno mayb the moderators could help in their capacity as hosts
