do some men actually not realise that antibiotics can cause thrush and can be spread from person to person silently .i had a conversation with a group of men ad out of ten 6 did not know this , ladies its up to make sure we take care of ourselves and them.........
good post momma , you would be surprised at the lack of knowledge out there ,
switch - what are you hoping for......some guys actually think that thrush is a full blown std and not a yeast infection of the mucous membranes of the mouth and tongue....:giggle:
I thought Thrush was a little Brown feathered fecker that wakes me every morning with its singing?
Thrush is a std: you can catch it and pass it on, olso called candida, although it is naturally occuring in the body, (don't mix it up with smegma which as we all know is white stuff that builds up around the head of the knob :-) and in the vagina, wash that off) stay away from products with yeast in em like beer lol, when u meet somebody always have a close peek at their bits make sure u see no scabs or redness discharge anything that shouldn't be there it all should be nice and smooth and clean.
But don't take dr Manti's word for it go get it checked std checks are free find your GU and get a sexy doc of other sex to give you a trill.
Or come to me and I will take a look at it for u :-) :-) grin grin grin
Manti sorry but thrush is defianetly not an std..
What happens if u shag someone with thrush, you get it too, then it's and std, how can thrush and candida be the same thing if one is an std and one is not?
offally is totally right here ,
What is thrush
Thrush is a vaginal yeast infection that affects approximately 75 percent of women at some time in their lives. Many women suffer recurring attacks. Although easily treated, thrush can be very unpleasant and uncomfortable for a woman, affecting her sex life and her confidence.
Yeast (candida) is a fungus that occurs naturally in the vagina, mouth, digestive system and other parts of the body. Symptoms only appear with over growth. Yeast growth is normally kept under control by the friendly bacteria in your body. However, if the balance of bacteria is upset and the yeast cells are allowed to overproduce, a yeast infection (candidiasis) can occur.
What causes vaginal thrush?
Yeast infections affecting the vulva and vagina - vulvovaginal candidiasis - are a common cause of vaginal irritation.
A particular type of yeast called Candida albicans is responsible for up to 80-92 percent of cases of vulvovaginal candidiasis. The remainder is caused by Candida glabrata.
In many cases a precipitating factor for the infection is not found but several factors have been associated with the onset of vaginal yeast infections including:
• Changes in hormone levels. Vaginal candidiasis is rare in those who have not yet menstruated and is less common in post-menopausal women. In many woman it is triggered by the hormonal changes that take place during the week before their periods, and during pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester.
High dose oral contraceptive pills (OCP) have also been associated with vulvovaginal candidiasis. No link has been established with low dose OCPs.
• Sexual activity. While not considered a sexually transmitted disease, vaginal sexual intercourse and other forms of sexual activity can transmit candida organisms. Some men whose partners have vulvovaginal candidiasis develop symptomatic yeast dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) on the penis.

thrush is a yeast infection and can occur at any get it when a yeast called candida normally found on the body grows out of control. older people are prone to this because their immune system weakens with age. some people taking certain medicines or inhaled corticosteriods can get it people with diabetes hiv are more likely to get it. yes it can be passed on from one to another even through a kiss but with good oral hygiene and medication it can be cured its not a std
Well who said it wasn't naturally occuring, but it is an std if you catch it from somebody although then u call it candida, but they are the same thing, so when u get candida an std you have thrush but called candida, here go to doc and say u got thrush and you a virgin the doc will call it thrush, go and say you not a virgin the he will call it candida, of if your mickey swells up from thrush he will call it balanatis, its all the same shit, now me not fighting over it wiht u but thats ny 2 cents ty and love to all.
Manti no one is arguing with you, the point I made was that thrush is not an STD, Candida is another strain of the same infection, and is rarely passed on by sexual contact, that is why the medical profession can not agree on it's validity as a sexualy transmitted disease.
Offlay well I'm glad that clears that up, lol "clears that up hehe".
i suppose manti we could debate this for ever babies are very prone to thrush especially not cleaning their equipment right or a parent suckin their dummy but i have to say id be mortified if the doc told me my kid had a std {thrush }so what i see in your article is if a virgin goes to the doc with this of course its got to be internal no sexual contact {oral contact maybe } can be passed this way i do know they call the yeast candidamaybe doctors have different names lol years ago they use to say this was from being dirty ignorance is bliss
vanity lol that was a great post thanks for that, I completely agree with u, stupid doctors telling us we're dirty
Van absoultly I understand I would be mortified too if I was told my kid had an std.
