as there seems to be so little world news the Indo today decided to write about the C word .... well not the "C" but the new Amwerican C word.
Aparently C stands for Cougar ... a preditory older woman that preys on younger men ... if only I was younger, as the only Cougar I will see is in Dublin Zoo.
Personally I don't see the problem, other than the term may be a bit disparaging...maybe the writer is jealous, but afterall the Old guy young woman has been a feature since the dwan of time ... there may be the odd tut tut about the sugar daddies but many would be applauded by their friends... Hugh "Playboy" Heffner being the King Sugar Daddy.
So if it is ok to be a Sugar Daddy, whats is wrong with a Sugar Mom ... why Cougar ... the term 'cougar' -- used to describe older women who pursue younger men for 'fun and friendship' A 35+ year old female who is on the "hunt" for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male. The cougar can frequently be seen in a padded bra, cleavage exposed, propped up against a swanky bar in San Francisco (or other cities)waiting, watching, calculating; gearing up to sink her claws into an innocent young and strapping buck who happens to cross her path. "Man is cougar's number one prey"
The wild Cougar/Mountain Lion is a solitary cat that has the greatest range of any large wild terrestrial mammal...A capable stalk-and-ambush predator, the Cougar pursues a wide variety of prey...
Are men now like the American Indians feareful of the sounds in the night , the big cat ... or are we afraid that the women will beat us at our own game.
Personally I dont see what the problem is if an independently minded woman decides she is not waiting for the phone to ring ... it is the 21st century , I am teaching my daughters to believe they are as good as or better than any man ... surely it is to be expected that on occassion they may act like a man.
LOL I tend to agree there Alan. There could be worse "c" words, as well. The Indo needs to get with the program though. My sister in America has been calling herself one for about a decade now. Just seems like a lame attempt to coin a phrase, however. As far as an older woman "preying" on a younger man. Many fellas should be so lucky to be with a mature minded woman.
"Just like a car, you're easy to behold. I'll call you jaguar if I may be so bold...":karaoke:
Like a fine wine is a term very often expressed by a lot of young on the site, they seem to crave the maturer, dare i say it sexier, more classy lady....!! I can see the attraction.....picture mrs robinson in the graduate!! the image of stockings, suspenders, all within good taste, being at the peak of sexuality, knowing exactly what they want in bed....but as u say the acceptance of young man with older woman is scarcer in reality than in rhetoric!!
.....this site member is a big advocate of the 'Milf' 'or 'Cougar' as I recently see them called.
well said donna we are like fine wine we do know what we want and how to get it we love sex and i prefare milf to couger.
Having met the real cougar face to face (was not the most pleasant experience ) I might be a little proud to be classed as such a predator but in reality I dont stalk younger men just perve them once in a while and the ones I have had the pleasure of meeting......well all I can say is mmmmmmmmm lol xxx anny
Is there a niche for a gallant, young female knight to rescue potential prey from the clutches of such fearsome predators?
Any volunteers?
*retracts claws, files down sharp edges off teeth * climbs a tree and waits ................................lol xxx anny
Well I am just back from the Big Apple & everywhere there are posters for a new TV show about "Cougar" women... I think the media are just spinning the whole thing to get an audience for the TV show.
I am still not sure about the term Cougar but it is perhaps more PC than MILF as the F does not mean "be friendly with" ... so i suppose a new term is really needed that does describe ...
Womem over 40, with or without kids and seeking a NSA relationship with younger guys or even people of similiar age ...
ideas below please...
but again I ask the question why does there have to be a label and is there a problem with women seeking relationships on their terms?
well in the name of scientific research I watched 3 episodes of Cougartown ... not quite as advertised ... more desperate housewvies without the glamour but lots more comedy ... harmless TV ... Ladies I don't think you will really learn anything here ... but it will while away the hours on a cold winters night ... the ladies in this program were more Pussycats than man-eating Cougars
well the show has started on RTE2, so maybe it is timely to air this again....also I seem to remember some ladies on site being compared (rather un-fairly I thought) to Cougars.
So are Cougars an American myth, an amusing TV program or do we have our own Cougars.
At the end of the day who cares it is just another stupid name thought up to get stupid males trying to get into older women's knickers and to give the stupid women who like to be called it a thrill. But isn't the equivalent of a cougar a dirty old man lol:giggle:
