but how many would be validated. And genuine. That is the question. 1 thing that does amaze me is people who organise parties that are nt validated, have no pictures and no comments on their profile and have not been confirmed as a member. Do people take a very real chance and go to there parties.
I personally think mods should think about only allowing people who have at least been vertified post party invites in the swingers parties forum.
Have to find a way of cutting out the messers on the site or the next count there will 150,000 members.
Now roll on peoples views / or hate mail to me.
That number represents the number of profiles that have been created since the inception of the site - not the current active membership of the site. Folks who have left the site/abandoned their profile are not culled from that number.
Restricting the ability to post party notices would be detrimental to the members - we all were 'Newbies' and had to get started somewhere. Granted the M&Gs that are arranged by the established members are a brilliant way to become known around the scene - but that shouldn't preclude a 'Newbie' having their own event either. Just because you aren't 'commented on' or have the 'established' list showing on your profile does not mean that you aren't genuine or capable of running a party. Indeed many such folks refuse to show that kind of information from a pure privacy angle - they like their discretion upheld.

the wonderful thing about a site like this is the fact that you can join and participate from the get go, which is great if you just want to dip your toes in , or jump right in and host a party .Like all internet sites , there will of course be messers and wind up merchants , but the huge amount of genuine people make up for that .

It would be a good idea to get rid of all the inctive profiles that are on here from the site as the number given currently is not representative of the true amount of active people on the site. But I imagine that will never happen as it sounds better from the point ot view of the people running the site to display such a large number of members as it certainly looks great for anyone who browses through the site and who is thinking of joining to see over 70,000 people on the site as opposed to the (in reality) much smaller number that are active, not including those who havn't logged in to the site in over a year or more, or who are have become inactive (banned).
because this site has been built in such a way that it is bespoke , a negative aspect of it is the old and inactive profiles, which unfortunately cannot be currently removed from the database without wrecking it , this site is unique in that it is a one of a kind build, with many years of hard work gone into it, on the plus side , we are now looking forward to the new chatrooms which are ready and are currently being tested for bugs, all going well, it will be up and running in the next few weeks , the new chatroom has many new and excellent features , and gone will be the room capping , thus giving users the opportunity to get into whatever room they choose without having to wait .
