well boys and girls i would like to start a social thing for all of us to just meet for drinks chat and dance the night
away!! and i would love to hear your feed back on this as i think it would be good just just have a social were one and all can come drink and have a laugh and meet with out any pressure of any type.

social nights like this can be a great opportunity to catch up with friends, or make new ones.
Just a bit of feedback from my own point of view - if the nights are held on a Friday it may limit who can attend - I work until 6pm on a Friday, and live in Belfast, so am unlikely to be able to attend, which may also be the case for others who live a little bit further afield. If it was on a Saturday however then I'd certainly make the effort to try and get to one of the gatherings

i get ur point tho but i work sundays and live in mayo so if i come to dublin its usually on a friday...sat means i have to get sunday off work and anyone of ye that know me knows i have a :wank: for a boss

Think it be a great idea. 1 view / concern I think people have is the meet and greets ( presume there held in large private room )what would happen if somebody want there you knew. But if these social meets were held in a bar you could simple walk away without having to make up an excuse. Look people are nervous about large meets. Look that my hape pennys worth.

The blessing of running regular social events is that once they get over the hump of the first time, folks realise that a few drinks, with lots of smiley faces, plenty of giggles and some great entertainment means they can get to know the folks who are normally hiding behind PCs, Phones and Webcams. It makes for a totally new experience both on-site and off-site, because they then know the face that goes with the handles, they have some idea of what folks are like as a person instead of just words and pics on a profile and they regularly get much further in finding what they are looking for for themselves here.
I've been running the Cork events now since June 2007 - and have over 350 folks enrolled as Full - Card-Carrying - Club Members who come out to party whenever they're able to - and they keep coming back for more. So something about a well-run, regular, no-pressure/no-expectations environment is working. We've even got folks getting married this year - simply because they got brave, came to party and met someone they would not have met anywhere else.
We are all adults here - and know the score when it comes to discretion and decorum expected in the lifestyle - if someone you know is at the party then - more friendly, smiley faces to enjoy the night with.
If someone you know is coincidentally at the venue - then you can boldly tell them you're with the Smiley Faces who are friends there for Music, Dancing and Socialising!! We don't have 'Swinger' tattooed on our foreheads or any other form of distinguishing flags that would embarrass either you or your non-scene friends.
I applaud Tatts and Titan for being prepared to take up the challenge of running events - whether they are one-off nights or as I do, running a social club on a regular basis. Everyone will be well looked after by both these two fine Members of the Community here.:worship: :worship:

Nothing like a good road trip to the wild west - as for snappy name... in the same vein as marie, (all credit to alliteration and all that),
how about fourth Fridays or Second Saturdays - very easy to remember when it is!!
