howdey all :-) find myself living back out in the sticks,mobile broadband does not work,eircom dont do next generation broadband where i live,only option is satellite anyone else here use it or have any recommendations please :-)

I have Ripplecom here and its really fast but that could be because Im one of only three being serviced by their local mast. I also have a 3 broadband usb stick - but rarely use that as I just have it as backup in case Ripplecom goes down - which is hardly ever

Satellite broadband tends to be overly expensive and offers speed and download limits much lower than what you would expect from a dsl line check out 10mb download with a limit of 25 gig a month for $ with installation of $249, is far too expensive, I would use 25 gigs in maybe 2 or 3 days of use I would personal never consider getting it for the reasons above, but if ur stick with no other option you might have to Ripplecom coverage in your neck of the woods looks patchy but would be worth giving them a call to see if they can give you a service in your area, much faster and better than value than any Satellite broadband

Share a house with a few lads, Youtube, torrents, facebook 24/7,lots of xbox live and whatever else, youd be surprised how easy it is to use up 25 gigs 3 to 4 gigs a month ? You must barely use your connection or have a relatively slow speed line
