simple just name your best ever irish xi here is mine given irwin staunton lawrenson mcgrath keane houghton giles aldridge quinn brady
footie :sleeping: :sleeping: :sleeping: :sleeping:
You have 3 Central Midfielders in there, and no left winger, so for me i'd have to drop Giles and put brady in the middle and Duff at his best on the left. I don't like Keane personally but he's our top scorer of all time, so surely that's gotta count for something? 1 or 2 i could possibly change, but can't really argue with your choices.
MrH.
houghton on the right keane and giles in the middle and brady on the left
:sleeping:im with you amber lol:sleeping::sleeping::sleeping:
Ah Now girls, the lads are entitled to a bit of football talk.
What is it about men and balls and running around with their shirt over their heads screaming?????
It`s not like they are the ones on the pitch putting in the effort:haha::grin::haha:
Very true. The lads can chat about footie, yous can talk about cockie
No no no Seven, us ladys talk about important matters...shopping ect ect lol
But amber you must admit it does keep us quiet for a few hours on a sunday afternoon:-) surely you must enjoy the peace and quiet:-)
Amber, would you be keeping them quiet by the old 'hitting them over the head with the frying pan when they're not looking' trick?:-)
Seeing as this is an all ireland site my eleven would be Pat Jennings, Denis Irwin, David O'Leary, Kevin Moran, Sammy Nelson, Paul McGrath, Liam Brady, Martin O' Neill, Roy Keane, Don Givens and George Best. I apologise if my Gunner colours are showing a little.
Tcell, do ever check out Tis prob the best arsenal blog out there.
Thanks cutedonjuan i will. tcell would rather have needles stuck in her eyes than have anything to do with and I quote "a group of men kicking a bag of wind around".
Oh and before anyone jumps on me yes I know it said republic of ireland XI but a little poetic license is allowed isnt it.
Damien Duff not fit to lace Kevin Sheedys boots on left wing.
Given, Irwin, Lawro, Mcgrath, not sure about right back. Sheedy, Keane, Brady, Houghton on right (remember him on right wing in 87/88 for Liverpool?) Slim pickings up front so Aldo and Robbie Keane just because they would score a hatful with the chances that midfield would provide. Subs Whelan, Stapleton etc. With Trapp as manager that team would piss the world cup.
