i find it hard to believe that this is called the anything goes section yet lastnight there was a thread here and it has since been romoved so now its the anything goes thread as long as you dont raise an issue or is it that you cannot support anyone that has had a star removed or are we to see the name changed to the anything goes thread as long as we allow it tyhis is not meant to cause offence i just feel as it says the anything goes thread yet a thread has been removed
Would like to say here, that these boards are for entertainment value and here to enhance the members enjoyment, not to detract from it. Very rarely are threads locked or removed, those that are, are done so for a reason, either they are causing offence or are on a topic that does not relate to these boards. Hope that clears up your issue as to why sometimes threads get locked or removed.
ok i will accept that for what it is like i said i did not and do not intend to offend anyone it was a question thats all and understad full well the entertainment value of the site thank again
thought forum meant; debate, discussion and eventual resolution.. not just removal of topic because it doesn't suit everyone.. are members not entitled to, at least, a reason for this decision or is it a case of "our way or no way"..
Collins dictionary says:censorship:the practice or policy of censoring films, letters,or publications, this is not why Im here, I want this site to be for people who have an Independent mind. give the star back................
Guys while Im sure studandsexy value your support unfortunately the public forums are not the place to discuss the selection or removal of mods stars , this is for the admin team to decide , There is no problem with you posting in regards to the enjoyment of the most recent meet and greet , however any further mention of the mod status will result in the thread being locked , Not everyone will agree with this ,I fully understand that but please note all the moderators act under guidelines we are given , Thank you Lou

give the star back................

Censorship doesn't work, but we will remove things from time to time that have no place in here, its no secret that some think that I've been wrong in the past for taking away stars, but all I'd say to that is that they're not in my position and able to make an informed decision.
Stars get handed out, taken back, sometimes handed out again and thrown back.
At the end of the day decisions are made on whats best for the site and in some cases for the people involved, the selection or deselection of moderators is not a subject for discussion in here, anyone can nominate a person for moderation and if they layout a good case it will be reviewed, at the moment I think the mod team in place can take pretty good care of things so were not actively recruiting.
As a member, may I ask how does one become a mod?
In the past people would volunteer, the name would be put up and discussed and then we would decide if the candidate should be given a trial, if they did ok they would join the mod team. We have been pretty lucky in that there's never been a shortage of people willing to help out and alos very fortunate in that some time back we had plenty of moderators with the right attributes in place to be able to spot candidates and propose them, so now the process is slightly different, when mods are needed the team looks for candidates and proposes them based upon how they interact, its not limited to the chatroom, more than one moderator has been selected based upon wha they do elsewhere on the site.
Ok admin thanks for that-) Ill tell u where I'm at,I am a mod on 4 it forums where various it issues are debated, solved, ridiculed, torn apart etc etc.I have tried on many occasions to enter a chat on the chatroom by sayin 'hi room'oir whatever, but find it impossible to how would I say 'break'in to the click culture that exists on here at times.I feel the modsa have a role to play in integrating many people like myself who try their hardest to join chats without much luck it has to be shoulnt just moserate, they should also be the catylst to introduce new nervous people with the established members that just keep chatting amongst over -)
Golfmad when I first joined this site (Im actually only bout 6weeks old) on entering the chatroom the moderators of this site integrated and made me feel very welcome. I've said hello to you before in chat but you don't make a big effort to converse so why should others?? It's like most things in life, you put in what you expect to get out of it with no moderation needed. Moderators are there to assist and help out, not to hold your hand.
Hi amber, sorry don't recall that,I apologise if I didn't reply but I honestly dont recall u saying hi,its just this website feels like a closed shop at times, that's my I'm wrong,I'm wrong but that's the impression I can be 90 in a room but only 6 or 7 seen both guys and girls saying hi but being I am offending anyone by this I apologise but I know there are more bodies out there that feel the same
