I for one am tired of the influence some ppl have on this site. One persons opinion or personal grievance on here can totally ruin someones reputation. Word of mouth can be very damaging. I wish more ppl would believe what they see and not what they hear. We are all different and not everyone is gonna get on but that shouldnt mean that if u dont get on with one person ur totally excluded from some events.
Not everyone wants to party with same group all the time and should not in anyway be made feel they have to. This is swinging, meeting new ppl, haven fun with those we click with. We are all human beings at other end of PC and ppl should have more respect and tact when dealing with others.
This is in no way aimed at any one person but just to try make ppl think twice bout the affect their words can have on others.

I agree 100%. Now I know I said I'd keep my distance from these kinda threads, but Ritz is telling it straight and what she says is 100% spot on.
People with influence can destroy another's reputation by spreading lies about someone they dont like. We've seen it happen ourselves. We've even seen it happen here in our kitchen one morning after a party, but we quickly stopped it happening there and then. It was a stupid remark by a really stupid person (With influence) who didnt realise the consequences of what they were saying. Luckily the other guests in the kitchen that morning could see through this person's attempts to garner attention. Thats all it was, just attention seeking.
As for being excluded from events because one member in attendance doesnt like you, well that is quite silly. Again we have been there not so long ago. But saying that, it was probably best as we quickly learned that some who claimed to be friends and who had partied at ours really didnt give a rats that we were excluded as long as they got to go. Education is always good, even if its a hard lesson your learning ;)
We would never stop a person/couple coming to any party we host just because another guest doesnt like them. We treat everyone equally and anyhow, we would never allow anyone to dictate us who we could or could not invite. Its our party so its our guest list. If you dont like it, make an excuse not to attend or something.

Very well put btb, at the end of the day we are all human and are not going to like everyone we meet or even chat to, but to get nasty is not going to reflect well on those who do it and while talk may be cheap spreading lies or rumors is going to get those who do it a bad reputation. Manners cost nothing and as i said we dont have to like everyone but should leave it to others to make up their mind on the person who is been bad mouthed.

We could all tell stories but however easy it is to exclude a couple ,
single guys are always regarded as suspect from the start and rightly so .
