just wondering what sort of a person goes to the trouble of sending an offensive mail. I know that not everyone will like a profile that is totally understandable, be a very boring world if we all like the same thing. But having read a profile and obviously not liking it, to go to the trouble of writing a downright hurtful mail to me goes beyond belief. rant over.

sorry to hear someone annoyed u cutie, unfortunately in life there are people who get some sort of warped satisfaction from making others feel low. As far as I'm concerned it's not about how u look, its all about who you are, and he obviously has issues. you're a nice person, keep your chin up hun, and don't let the eejits get you down xxx
Someone else posted a similar thread in the last week or two, saying they had gotten a nasty mail about the photos on their profile. Maybe it was the same person who sent both? Some waste of space with nothing better to do. Just enjoy the nice comments and dismiss the nasty ones as being from someone who clearly has no taste.
On another 1 or 2 sites I've came across some way, where-by each member has I dunno what you would call it; Kudos or ratings and they get points deducted by observers or the "victim" (I know that's a very strong word lol! but the person who was aggrieved,) and then it is clearly established in the ratings etc., and indicative of those time-wasters who like to bad-mouth others for no apparent reason only for their own kicks.
It is indeed interesting that this is a continous topic of discussion in the forum. Offensive mail & offensive remarks on cam seem to go hand in hand. Perhaps the "ignore" option should be include mail & chat. I would also sugggest that all offensive mail be forwarded to the moderators.
As a site motto we might adopt & add to the site masthead
"if you cannot say anything nice... say nothing"
As far as We know,,you Can block people from sending you mail!

Other than that,,We strongly recommend that if you recieve any mail that is of concern,is report it to a Mod,or to Admin direct,via a support ticket!
After all,,This site is for fun,and frolicks,with likeminded consenting adults,and nobody should have to put up with a few sados trying to ruin it!
I have in the past received a number of offensive mails, the wording of one did infact scare me slighty, I have to Admit!
I will not post the text in here because non members can read the threads, but it did consist of something like this " I know where you live" now on reflection this user lived the other end of the Country and was only vexed because both myself and a few others had contested and objected to some of the comments this user made in the chatroom.
I did however reply, to the email, giving details of flight schedules from the users local South Ireland airport to Dublin.... then laughed.
Not a word since, but I would strongly recommend that if any user receives any email on here that is in anyway offensive or threading, then report it too a MOD straight away or email ADMIN.
This type of behaviour is not acceptable!

why would someone send an offensive email .....utterly pointless ..sticks and stones do break bones but they heal faster than feelings...
perhaps the final word on offensive mail might be
"do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up"

ok, i wouldnt reply to fools like that in a mail, but i would post such a mail in the forums for all to see, let teh s4i community see them for what they are, then see how they get along on here,
but it all goes down to respect, and if they sent a mail like that just from looking at your profile they really are not suited to this lifestyle at all,

perhaps the Mods might start a thread where all offensive mails can be posted ... I am sure it will become the most read thread on the site ... no who would really want to become publically known by having thier offensive posts visible to all.
We (mods) have no problem with people posting offensive mails here but the senders cannot be namedin the public forums as name and shame threads are not permitted .. the majority of people on here are honest , however abuse of name and shame threads could cause a lot of hassle .
For example if I post that Alan ball sent me an abusive mail and also stood me up for a meet .. that would be totally untrue .. but mud sticks ..
So feel free to post offensive mails but please please use the report abuse facility on site so we (mods) can actually do something about the senders .

It so really disgusts me when I see how so called grown up and mature people can cause so much pain for others by writing mails etc.
In the world we live, everyone is under so much pressure and the last thing they need is to be insulted. I am a big guy and I am proud of who i am. If people don't like me, then thats their choice.
But no-one has the right to condemn or abuse anyone. Nobody is perfect but what i have found on here, is people who so are so genuine and welcoming. My nerves are almost gone, but still, whoever it is that gets off on name calling etc. think about yourselves first and have a good long hard look in the mirror.

Just to say anyone that would go to the bother of writing such a shocking email about anyone is just sick , plain and simple, it does not deserve the space here. The mods should ban any person writing offensive words about anyone u can be banned for swering surly you should get a life time ban for talking bad about someone. It happened me lately where i was supposed to have said something about someone in room and it was not me at all but someone you had name like me. I would class those people as sick with a big big problem.

People that send mail like that are dealt with and behaviour like that will not be tolerated here ,
Also if anyone finds themselves in a situation where they feel wronged by one of the mods you can report that directly to the admin of the site as we(mods) undertake to keep the site running as smoothly as possible and to remove those causing problems but we are just human and are not infallible and mistakes are sometimes made despite our best efforts.

If I get spam...or explicit in my inbox..on here ..in work.. on public mail..i just delete it.
However if it is from someone I have built up a rappore with and it doesnt work out...i am crude and just blacklist them.. so they become spam..
its a fact of life sometimes we are going to have to read offensive mails.
However if they become threathening to you,family or friends ....save the mails..,print..and report to the authorities...as you would any other threat..there should be zero tolerance to communications that you feel are offensive and threatening to yourself...
