In between that he helps you run the house is a role model for the kids helps you balance the books and is the one who has enough belief in himself that he doesnt need to know where you are every minute of every day. At the beginning of the thread the question was asked are men hunters etc, well the answer is all of those and a few more besides. Much the same as the women they are mothers lovers friends wives girlfriends and if you are lucky godesses. To sum it up Anyone who thinks this is a mans world think again. The ladies are in charge. A real man knows this but still retains his masculinity, there is no battle of the sexes. If we fight we all lose. Peace and love people.

Good post MulldernTcell. The majority of men in this country haven't a clue what their role is in life anymore.
I think the problem is that we're struggling to be too many things, partner, friend, lover, father, provider etc and achieving none of them properly. There's no central issue. It's a consciousness thing. If we're sensitive, we're weak, and if we're strong, then we're chauvinistic to find middle ground is impossible as the goalposts keep moving....I think it's better to just be ourselves and let women deal with it, rather than confuse ourselves trying to do it all. We're just not capable of it. We're simple creatures. Why fight it?...Maybe it's a question of respect. Women felt that men didn't respect them and set out to change things. But now, I think women have lost their respect for men and we've lost a lot of respect for ourselves. Maybe we resent the simpler life our fathers and grandfathers had. They had none of the expectations on them that modern men do. Their wives weren't reading about multiple orgasms in Cosmo and women certainly didn't expect their men to share their feelings. They'd have laughed at the thought. Carrie Bradshaw would have been put in a convent for life (cheers all round).
Maybe it's an evolutionary problem. We're descended from cavemen who had to hunt, kill and breed. That's it. That was their purpose. There's still a lot of that lurking in our subconscious and it means we struggle with all the emotional expectations that are on us now. We're not designed for it. That may sound like a cop out, but it makes a lot of sense to me.
You Tarzan, me Jane....
Now get on your back, there is work to be done!:doggy:

Your excused must send the real DEAL:giggle:
To put my last post in more simplistic terms i would say that i think the Homoerictus has been misunderstood now since the beginning of time, were a simple creature who likes the simplistic things that life has to offer. We like the odd pat on the head for doing something rite and when doing something wrong well we still like that pat on the head so all in all, Tell us your mighty altogether, a bit to eat and the odd roide, sure were grand.
Numberseven who says we men cant multitask its just we do it differently. Yes lovebird we are simple, life complicates things.
Virgogirl anytime babe name the time and place I want you to rock my world and I in turn will see if I cant knock some plaster off the walls.
Like I said life complicates things for us all, to thine own self be true. But always remember we men are programmed to protect the ones we love and provide for them. when that gets screwed up some people cant adjust and thats when things get unhinged. Its true that women are more independent today and they dont need us as much as they did, but as Gunny Highway said in Breakheart Ridge " adapt and overcome"
Now enough of this whos up for wild kinky sex????????????????
seven lol Are u having an identidy crisis hun? Put yer apron on and come here, til i give u a list of housework that needs doing, while I'm at work...then i shall shag ya senseless when i get home lol lol smile
MuldernTcell of course we can multitask but then again multitasking is smoking & drinking, hovering & chatting, jogging & texing, camming & and other small feats oh and even tapping your head and rubbing your belly at the same time is multitasking. Trying to juggle a partner, friend, lover, father, provider, bills, kids, job ect ect i don't think you could call that multitasking and even if you did, my point is your not going to achieve all of them properly.........Your spot on when you say """"""when that gets screwed up some people cant adjust and thats when things get unhinged

both
Thats ok Happy so am i and the rest of the boards. My final thought on this Some say with the fall of conservative, long-standing institutions such as the Catholic Church and respect for politicians and after the backlash of thousands of years of (mostly) patriarchal domination this is what has lads us lads lost for identity. Do i belief that? God no, that's just me messing with words lol Personally i think Men have a huge problem communicating their issues. It feels like a weakness to even admit there may be a problem...I think it's a question of respect. Women felt that men didn't respect them and set out to change things. But now, I think women have lost their respect for men and we've lost a lot of respect for ourselves. Even though we have come light years from the animals who retained a vestige of our primordial instincts i think were still grappling with the idea of what a 'man' is...partly i suppose created by male stereotyping by themselves and partly created by narrow-minded people in general. Maybe that assumption is as ludicrous as the woman chained to the sink. We haven't a clue what women want, mainly because it seems that women don't know themselves. You looked for equality, for the same careers and opportunities that men had. Well, ye got it, and in exchange left us wondering what we're here for. You're expected to be a million things because you asked for it. When all is said and done, it seems to me that women have lost respect for men as a species because we're not manly enough anymore. You can do everything we can. They're even manufacturing sperm in labs now. Maybe the next decade we will be the one where men bitch about their rights like women did in the sixties. Or would that be unmanly of us? Is this the rantings and meanderings of a tired & emotional Numberseven Probably a risky post but then again,,,, this is one Ram who's not afraid to show his Cock. ;-)

No matter what you think seven women still have to fight for their rights in what still is a male dominated world, yes we made a stand to gain what we have now, but on the whole we are still looked upon as the weaker sex. This is a label i can not stand as i know i can do just as much if not more than some men, which i proved in a very male dominated career. I do get sick of hearing men don't know what women want! If they asked properly and listened properly they would know, to me it is just a easy way for men to cop out. And the main thing i have to point out, is that respect is earned not given and that applies to both sexes.
Ok will stop before i burn my bra, i`m rather fond of it lol
ooooooooooooo seven ffs see what bother u started lmao
And as for most of us guys we r just doing our best to make sense of this mess we call life. Me I'm headed back to my cave with a hairy mammoth leg for mrs m and the wee ones. Try to make it less complicated gentlemen, do your best no one asks anymore, we all screw up its normal. smile more often and take it all less seriously. Laugh at yourself and damn it have some fun biggrin
Love the ladies God Bless them, our lives are so much fuller with them and we would be lesser beings without them.
You only get one go on the merry-go-round of life make the most of it.
Your rite there Raven it still a very male dominated world. Woman were treated as second class for many years, obviously things have moved on, thank god for that. Id even as far to say that its men themselves (including myself) who have created the stereotyping of identity Crises. Maybe it all comes down to men needing to see how hard it was not to be appreciated and being a second class citizen. PS; Please dont burn your bra you'll need it for my next threadsmile
