It took us ages to work it out and for the longest time I kept logging out and back in again. It's when the room already has 80 users in - you have to wait for someone to leave before it will let you in. Just leave it on the fuzzy screen - it usually doesn't take to long to get in. HTH
Amy ;) What do you mean by fuzzy dora?? I get stuck a lot and I only ever go grey or white and it's a still screen, never fuzzy with lines going through it. Is that what you mean or do you actually mean fuzzy streaky with lines like a television? If fuzzy I would say get your computer checked.
If it's a still screen getting stuck, even though I do get stuck a lot, I have noticed lately that crossing through rooms even quiet rooms that aren't near 80, - on crossing back and forth there is a stall where you are frozen/stuck. Now if yer patient ya do get in, it's just a freeze delay of some sort, but if ya are impatient and hit refresh again it just means yer waitin longer and you won't even be able to get back to the default room for ages, and you'll just remain stuck for ages lol! So if it does freeze a bit, if ya can wait a couple of minutes to get in do, it's just a delay. Other-wise, if ya go clickin' and clickin,' you'll end up goin' nowhere.
I think you said it went fuzzy on return back from bi-room to Newbies? Yeah same happens here, it seems to be on the return journey back that the freeze-delay occurs. :lol2: Like if you go to visit a room for a bit then go back to previous room you had been in that's when ya freeze? (Maybe it's a slight case of travel-sickness?! :giggle: )
Anyways sure, even though it's no consolation, at least we can get in at some point! Better than not all eh?! ;) xx

Dora I think what your getting is what lots of ppl call white screen,happening a bit to myself lately, when I move rooms, click out , maybe try to go back in but get white screened. I usually ask someone in the room on an alternative means of communication if my name is stuck in the room and nine times out of ten lately it has been. As amber says there, the only alternative, is to get a mod or room host to kick you name, or wait while you name times out.

the user needs to either press both Ctrl and F5 whilst on the blank page or delete their temporary internet files

I think the correct term for this problem is "white screened" as zaza has said.
This happens to me a lot, however I do notice that sometimes I could be on site and in chat for a few hours at a time and everything is fine, then other times I can be white screened (or cut off) up to 5 or 6 times in the space of a hour or so.
I have noticed the delay in going from one room to another, that is fine now that I know there is a delay, I just wait.
However I do think the issue of the white screen should be investigated , as yesterday I logged on and was white screen after about 5 mins which I thought was very strange. I had just turned on my lappy and history/cookies etc were cleared.
Would appreciate if anyone else if having this problem would comment.
