Oralking, I feel your Pain. I have after 3 weeks of hassle narrowed it down to it being an issue with '3' s service. i have emailed them tonight on the recommendations of admin and will Post on here any feedback I get from them. I have had the issue about a month now. I am a member of this site since april and never had issues with 3 before or upto this point. There is a problem with '3' mobile BB service and chat on here.

Ok I spoke to technical support on 3g today and they were as much use as a chocolate firguard, they more or less admitted they are trying to upgrade the irish network and that the system is not able to handle the traffic. I told them I needed it sorted in a day or so or I would be moving to vodafone or o2. Lets see does that quicken theyre canter.

well my friend has it now and pays the money into my bank account, it sucked big time even for world or warcraft (did i just say that out loud????) so i wont be getting phone broadband again. i reckon if this doesnt get sorted they have prob broken some contract agreement and you will be well within your rights to cancel your direct debit!!!
yeah I was actually told by the guy at 3 that online gamers were affected (world of warcraft...shudder....) Psst horny girl you think thats bad, i wont even begin to try and explain my online gaming.....anyhoo I take it you managed to get a proper broadband service since?

Hey guys in same boat for last 3 to 4 weeks...mailed 3 and spoke with tech crowd there and other than running a few tests they not going to do anything...just got to keep mailing them til they realise they have an issue here
Been having the same diffs w/3 broadband modem ,for about the same time ,also have a handset problem and they arent even liable to provide you with a replacement whilst it gets fixed,they are tossers w/bad accents lol
I also cant get into the rooms with 3 dongle internet. The only reason I ended up getting the dongle is because Irish BB services take months and months to install anything. Its really, really bad.
I Must say it was funny when the guy from 3 technical support asked me what site I was having difficulty logging into ...after I spelt out swing 4 ireland there was a silence for 3 seconds and '''...er ok sir I am on the site now...' Bet the cheeky feckers are still looking.
into 5th week so Far now and no joy from this shower at '3'

Well Loverman I wish you luck, I have been hounding them for last month on the issue and no joy yet, they seem to have problems with transmission on the irish network. If you have any joy be sure and let us know.

My regular ISP is Irish Broadband and i've never had a problem at all accessing the site using a wired connection or when using my wireless router. I also have a Vodafone USB Dongle that i use when i'm travelling or not at home and i've yet to have any issues accessing any website let alone this one, think it's just a issue with 3 there.
This is a very old thread resurrected!!!
The problem is also very well discussed in the Site Help Forum - on a thread started by Mixer .
The fault is with 3 - they are limiting access to their customers - and breaking the 'unlimited access' clause of the contract by doing so.
If anyone else is still having this problem - go read Mixer's thread - there is a long post which explains how to go about complaining to 3 so that the access limit can be lifted for your own account.
I had this happen to me - and I roasted them with the info in Mixer's thread - and the service was restored to normal in 3 or 4 days.
