Well folks my nephew just told me he's packing his bags and going to see the world for a year or two and it got me thinking about the things I missed when I lived abroad. Family and friends are a given so I'm thinking of stuff like creature comforts. Like coming in at 4 in the morning pissed and craving Cheese & Onion Tayto sandwich's or a nice cold pint bottle of Bulmers or even the Irish sense of humor ( nobody does sarcastic wit like we do ). Even the language : you get some funny looks off New Yorkers when you shout 'You Jammy Bastard' at the telly .
