On the site a couple of days now,firstly thanks to all who have said hi and have made me so welcome in the newbie chat room.
I have to say for anyone who doesn't like chat rooms it would be near impossible to get to talk to anyone at all.
I understand you have to serve your time and get known but I think its very difficult to get a one on one with a girl.
On the previous siteI was on it was possible if someone was online that you could with respect Pm them as you browsed them and ask if they would like a chat. They would either ignore you (which I must say rarely happened ) or say no , or say yes and away you go , many a nice evening was spent chatting where if i had sent a mail, the female might not have had the time or inclination to answer it.I do understand with the male female ratio you do get so many mail sand probably hard to keep on top of. Oh to have that problem.
Will keep going had heard about the site and would love to experience the I'm not using the site properly, any help greatly appreciated....best of luck to all and be safe

Everyone takes settling in at their own pace - some are more techy-literate than others too.
The Site is in a transition mode at present with lots of improved 'bells and whistles' - but we do have the whipser function in chat as you described - and it's up the folks to use it wisely to get interacting. However, if too many people are concentrating on whipsering then the main chatroom suffers for lack of activity. Personally I prefer the open chat - it can be much more saucy than the usual weather/holidays/work based chat - if kept to a fun level rather than the all-out vulgarity and crudity some folks use.
The advice I always give to site newbies is:
- Read profiles - it will save you time contacting people who aren't looking for what you have to offer,
... and if you do match their criteria, then mail them - a proper mail not just a lewd one-liner;
- Use the Chatrooms/Forums and Groups to find folks who interest you and build a rapport before nudging doors open.
Too many people think they can sign in on day one and get a leg-over before they've logged off - it doesn't happen. I'm glad you seem to have an open mind - and realise you need to settle in for a long game.
Anyway - I hope you enjoy your time here - and make a few friends - I'm sure cogs will slip into slots eventually when you're respectful and patient.
