I kinda like the idea that xeroid mentioned, the whole requiring a photo WITH some sort of identifying/assent thing on you. That being said, I'm sure someone found a way around that too.
Anyway, I think the best attitude to take with any and all places like this, is to not put all your eggs in one basket. If this place, or any like it, is your only source of potential entertainment, then you're gonna be disappointed. Who knows how long, or how many contacts it could take for you to see anything tangible materialize. You could get lucky and have some great encounters instantly, but you're probably not, especially if you're down as a single straight male. I'm down as an almost single male, (which is a nice grey area between attached and single, good to have that as a descriptive option), so I'm not strictly single, per se. I've got a couple of F/Buds, I've had a few results from other sites, and I'm a bit of a man about town in the rakish sense, but I've never considered myself a part of the swinging scene, so that's why it's got the whole “I'm new to this” deal on my profile. Basically what I'm saying is, the fakers and flakes on any one site are totally gonna freak you out and F with your mind if you limit yourself to that one site.
Look at it this way, with every fake, flake, and non-responsive you encounter, and thereby eliminate, you draw ever closer to the genuine ones that are serious about their fun and frolics!
