Chat users. Following some discussion and having looked at what is hapenning on the other sister sites the Rule against whispering without asking will being removed. For some time now people have had the power to authorise their whispers or block those that are annoying them through whispers, so people will shortly no longer get kicked for whispering, unless the whispering turns out to be abusive. You can change your whisper settings in chat when you arrive to set to authorise where you are asked do you want to let a particular person whisper you or you can turn them off all together. You can also block a person by clicking on their name and pressing the block button. However the abuse of another chat member will be dealt with in the strongest manner and particularly abuse directed to those members on cam. Regards. Sean Mod Team.
Makes our lives a little easier Sean :happy::happy::happy:

I think this has worked a treat and there is less disruption in chat. Yes, they can still whisper, but only initially and once ya block them they can't whisper again wink Good thinking Admin
sean..gr8 idea...just some privacy on who can and cant look at our pics would be gr8...good wrk sean..xx
I totally agree with you Sean, I have always chatted to anyone who whispered me without permission as I thought it was just the mannerly thing to do, whether i replied with just a 'hi' or conversation as I found that there was a lot of shy guys online who found it difficult to chat in the main room and lets face it if a somebody just wants to say hi isnt it just so easy to type hi back and then if ya dont want a conversation with him just say so and sure if he persists and ya dont like what he;s saying just block him. I do understand though that sometimes ive gotten so many whispers that i then miss out on whats going on in the chatroom so theres a bit of negativity in being nice in replying to whispers too. I also know some people get offended if ya dont keep up the conversation but Ive spoken to and met some lovely lads through whispers of which ive always been happy to reply to. At the end of the day, if anyone male or indeed female is abusing you in whispers, block them and report them to any of the moderators who do a great job and they will deal with it accordinly.
i agree with you sean as often i find it hard to get into the main chat as some just bdont want to get you involved i have had a few nice chats in whispers with people so im all for it thanks leonm !!
Anybody can wisper us without Permission anytime without asking permission , you are adults not school children smile
Great work Sean this block function puts the chatter in control and places the onus on them rather than the mod team. As has been said we are all adults, who could honestly get offended with a Hi? Im all for being in control of my own chatroom experience and the chat tools help me do that Rox
