mum has been quite a few times and loves it so hopefully it will be good to go to - cause my mum is every bit as nuts as me:giggle:
cool hun it looks nice and not too dear....
hey bobby...don't know if this is much help....i went about 30 years ago - skiing at xmas...loved the people and the scenery, wasn't so keen on the folks with machine guns at the airport!!! Have to say it was b4 the fall of the berlin wall and the breakup of the soviet union, so i imagine it's a much different place now, but as i said, the folks there were lovely. I imagine you would be headed for the coast rather than the mountains, and have heard some great reports of the resorts there - my sis in law has been at least once (far more recently) and loved it.
:Pbeen there in the 70,s as a guest brilliant time that was in the city,s b4 the unfortunate fall off the wall ,went back in 1980,s, on beach holidays brilliant time thought it was so good went back with kids twice in the 90,s they really enjoyed it as well ,really lovely people great food and drink ;usual tourist traps but be careful and it can be a holiday off a lifetime ,sunny beach and golden sands are outstanding :welcome:
Nice country but depending on where you go you might want to bring your own food! Was in a beach resort called Obzor which is on the east coast north of Burges, lovely place but you need to go there before the end of August.
Lou
thanks for all the replies guys, but won't be going now stuff after coming up at home
I have a celtic tigger story about the place. Friends of mine went with a group skiing there few years back. Hated it. Food awful, accomodation terrible, roads and infrastructure rotten, ppl nasty. But between them they bought six apartments. At 50K each "they couldnt leave them behind". Ah, dem was da days !
Hi Bobby
Bulgaria might be a great place but.... If you like big hotels, tourists, discos and all of this go to "Zlote Piaski" (Golden Sands). personaly I would go south aroung Burgas. Little towns miles of beaches small towns with this south mediterranian feeling, historis sites from the time of Roman empire. Best way? Find flights and accompdation yourself on the web..
Enjoy
