can i mention a point.... i ve noticed that sum ppl can be as abusive as they like sumtimes in chat or behave what the rules say as being disruptive how ever its only certain ppl who get kicked for these things or banned..the rules do not seem to apply across the board
Cant comment because im not in chat these days but if this is the case its wrong and needs to are there for everyone ,every single person from mods right down to forum freaks.

Everyone has to follow the rules and its what everyone agrees to when they join the site. Very much like the law, ignorance is no excuse, after all most of our rules are written around acting in a way that shouldn't cause offence to others.
Anybody can report abuse, thats why we have the support ticket system, the moderators should and will take action if they spot these things or if its brought to their attention, bear in mind though that they may be dealing with other issues at the time, may have posted a note in the mods lounge for a log check or for other opinions, or they may have been dealing with the issue by whisper with the offendee.
The mods objective isn't always to provide a public demonstration of action being taken, although sometimes this may be necessary.
They're on the front line and trying to keep order, its not always easy, if something gets missed feel free to report it, if someone is out of order its better for everyone if action is taken.

and do these rules apply to sectarianism and bigotry ?? !! from members AND chat mods !!! .Some time ago now we were in a chatroom with about 20-30 ppl in it,everyone was having great craic and fun till we used the word Londonderry !!.We were subjected to a barrage of insults and remarks about our use of the didnt bait to any arguement but one of the 2 mods in the room kicked we came back into the room we were told by one of the mods that bigotry wouldnt be tolerated and were accused of being bigots simply for using the word "Londonderry" and any repeat of it and we would be banned for being sectarian !!.Some people have asked us why we dont chat a lot anymore in rooms !!! is it any wonder when the "rules" only seem to apply to whoever it suits !

The rules do apply to mods and if that happened you should have reported it straightaway to admin and the logs should have been checked .. I know some words are seen as offensive but saying londonderry and getting kicked for it is just plain stupid .. if you were being bigots or whatever fair enough I would have kicked you myself but just for simply sayin londonderry ... no way

The chat rules dont apply to fact mods gets free travel,free food,free drink,all expenses paid holidays,Xmas hampers,Easter only that but when i modded i got a tenner for everyone i kicked or banned.I was why im not modding now,admin couldnt afford to keep was living in doorways all over me.

we arent just talking abouts mods being treated diff we are talking about ppl who are friends of mods... i myself have seen it on various occassions ppl being kicked for not doing such a bad thing but just because they are friends with a mod

what are you going on about now... no i wouldnt name you here... look as i said in other forums your opinionated and i m not getting into a slanging match with you in the forums as it gets boring for other ppl on the site its not fair... so do as you want i ll just ask admin to lock my 2 threads we have so this doesn't continue on any more
